At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The Covid-19 pandemic, economic slowdown and geo-political turmoil has created seismic challenges around the world. Our purpose, to build a better working world, has never been more important. Life at EY has been transformed dramatically but our strong culture of flexible and remote working has helped EY people navigate new ways of working and remain connected with each other and our clients.

A better working world truly starts with the people at EY who are building it every day. Now more than ever we need talented people from diverse backgrounds to help our clients navigate the complexities of this Transformative Age: people with the passion, curiosity and drive to make things better.

EMEIA wavespace Experience Manager (Associate Director)

We are looking for an Experience Manager for EY’s wavespace EMEIA team.  This team works with the EMEIA Markets leadership team and directly with over 23 wavespace centres across EMEIA to create better ways of engaging with client challenges and use the interdependent network of centres to bring the best of EY to client’s transformational ambitions and challenges.

EY wavespace is about people and business outcomes. We design immersive programs that bring the right people together, giving them the mindset and collaborative tools to think differently. These days we are doing this both virtually, in-person, and blended sessions for clients around the world.

This role has three critical elements:

  • Identifying future trends and patterns where wavespace can create competitive advantage in the market, then build, deploy and scale the approach
  • Building the profile and brand of wavespace so that we generate demand for high quality experiences, and empower the business to self-serve (experiences and the sales process)
  • Connecting the full power of the wavespace network to generate, cultivate and deliver pan-EMEIA client experiences which accelerate growth and challenge the status quo

Your key responsibilities

An Experience Manager understands how the full power of wavespace can drive growth with clients, works directly with and empowers client teams to sell transformational wavespace experiences, and is able to integrate wavespace solutions into EY’s growth drivers (including solutions, fields of play, sectors and Service Lines).  They will have a successful background in consulting, including the use of design thinking, and are comfortable working with senior leaders of EY’s Regions and the EMEIA Markets team. They are ultimately responsible for:

  • Leading our efforts to build and deploy new wavespace solutions across the wavespace network
  • Acting as an Engagement leader on complex, transformational wavespace activity which requires multiple parts of the wavespace ecosystem and solution teams to work together to deliver exceptional wavespace experiences

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Working with leaders of EY’s growth drivers to shape, build, pilot and deploy wavespace within selected growth drivers
  • Work with selected EMEIA Industry Acceleration Platform leaders to embed wavespace into their growth plans, and ensure the brand of wavespace is embedded in their target accounts
  • Work with the leaders of the 23 wavespace centres across EMEIA to embed new approaches into their centres and support the process of upskilling their teams
  • Drive co-working and partnership across the wavespace network so that the full capabilities of the wavespace network can be embedded into client wavespace activity
  • Work with centre leaders to help them create a stronger pipeline of demand for wavespace inside the Regions and specialisations they represent
  • Take the lead on designing complex or “must win” wavespace experiences (alongside existing centres)
  • Deliver client results that lead to influenced sales
  • Maintain oversight of staffing, application of technology, session design process and creative elements to ensure wavespace sessions meet customer expectations (clients, account teams and other internal EY teams)
  • Manage internal conflicts which may arise between different stakeholders (client side and across the EY ecosystem)

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience working directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders (internally and with clients)
  • Advanced degree in Design Thinking preferred;
  • 10-12 years professional experience
  • Be able to spot trends and interpret multiple signals across many parts of our business
  • Ability to quickly understand different client objectives and use creative problem-solving skills to translate objectives into engaging workshops
  • Excellent lead facilitation and communication skills (and enthusiasm for investigating and learning new facilitation techniques)
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills
  • Strong business knowledge of one (or more) industry sector

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience using (and a passion for) interactive technology and collaboration tools
  • A curious mindset and the ability to drive innovation
  • A background in bringing together multiple parties to work together to architect solutions and ideas which engage clients
