The opportunity 

 

The Associate Director (AD) will be responsible for leading EY’s Office Connect Team (Engineering and Delivery) that includes the management of a global team responsible for validating and implementing designs, lab testing, product certifications including updates, and overseeing delivery of services to Member Firm. The AD will be accountable for delivery excellence, ensuring that projects are delivered by leveraging Project Management best practices (SPI/CPI), meeting the business requirements providing industry-leading technical solutions aligned to allocated budgets. Additionally, the AD 
responsible for collaborating and developing a cross-function strategy within the network organization, Information Security (Infosec), Supply Chain Services, Legal, and approved vendors to deliver Wi-Fi technology solutions aligned to technical standards that ensures all EY end-users receive services that meet and exceed the business requirements. Solutions will be supported by various organizations including and are not limited to: WAN, Telephony, LAN, WLAN, Data Centers (DC) and Office Solutions. In addition, the AD will provide consulting services to other teams, and act as an escalation point for operational issues.

 

Your key responsibilities 


Functional Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical Lead for all global Wi-Fi designs
  • Strategic thinker with understanding of EY end-user business requirements
  • Delivery Expertise ensuring all solutions are fully tested, document and represent the industry leading solutions.
  • Forward Thinking – understands current and NeXT Generation technologies
  • Experience in managing global teams and suppliers
  • Risk Management recognizing and developing mitigation strategies, delivering continuous improvement for the firm
  • Leadership in advanced network monitoring tools and AI
  • Experienced in Program Management, Product Development, Piloting, Testing, Global Deployment and Post Implementation validations.


Management Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead Global Engineering and Deployment team
  • Develop relationship with approved suppliers/equipment manufacturers
  • Collaborate with business leaders, Member Firms/Partners on innovative solutions aligned to business requirements
  • Present industry-leading technological advancements that drive quality of services and deliver secure services aligned with continuous improvements strategy for end-user performance. (SLAs, KPI, AI and Advanced Monitoring)

 

Knowledge required for disciplines:

 

  • 15+ years of experience leading Network Design and Architecture teams, with a high focus on customer experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline, plus industry accreditation or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred (MS/MBA)
  • Advanced skills in planning, designing and troubleshooting complex network environments.
  • Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises.
  • Time management skills to manage multiple large, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed virtual teams
  • Data-guided, analytical approach with the ability to formulate and translate insights into action with measurable results.
  • Excellent understanding of Office Connect product portfolio and ability to bring knowledge of this to help facilitate the growth and adoption across the regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to a diverse business audience.
  • Experience developing, managing, and presenting business cases and strategic plans.

 

Knowledge required beyond the job: 

 

  • Industry accreditation like CCNA R&S, CCNP R&S, CCNA Wireless, CCNP, Meraki Wireless certifications or equivalent knowledge.
  • Flexibility adjusting to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change
  • Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people within and outside of IT to balance business demands
  • Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
  • Ability to understand and integrate cultural as well as individual differences and motives and to work in virtual cross-cultural, cross-border global teams
  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication

 

Problem Solving:

 

  • Leverage Deep Technical knowledge, driving innovation and problem resolution to ensure the diagnose,troubleshooting and problem resolve minimizing outages.
  • Experienced in managing complex global Wi-Fi engineering, delivery and outside influences (RF) that can impact
    the quality of services.
  • Act as final escalation point for network-related problems.
    • Validate Office Connect solutions on industry’s best practices, sound solid engineering principles while
      incorporating both local and global requirements
    • Collaborate, develop and validate solutions design documentation to be used by the Regional Data
      Network and Operations teams for implementation and on-going support.

 

Relationships: 

 

  • Office Connect lead and trusted advisor for I&O organization. BRM/Member Firm stakeholders (globally) hardware supplies, professional service vendors, WAN, Infosec, EY Supply Chain Services (contract management)

 

Team Management: 

 

  • (3) EY teams consisting of engineering and reporting plus management of Kyndryl resources

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $134,200 to $258,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $161,000 to $293,500.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
