Our global Supply Chain Services team includes over 450 people working across 33 countries and speaking 46 languages. The opportunity

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the Technology, Talent, Alliances and BMC (TTAB) procurement team supporting EY Technology (EYT) who creates, manages, and operates all the technology used by EY covering the entire process life cycle, from understanding the needs of the organization’s different Areas and service lines, through defining appropriate strategy and architecture, to the delivery of solutions and managed operational services.  This leader is also aligned to the Consulting and Strategy and Transactions services lines for procuring their technology goods and services as well.
 
Beyond the basic provision of reliable, cost-effective IT infrastructure and operations, EYT is increasingly acting as a catalyst for business success.  Priority projects such as EY’s AI solutions, Fabric platform and Global Tax Platform are essential to delivering on EY’s Global Priorities, and in sustaining our competitive advantage as the most globally integrated organization in professional services.
 
Within EY, the Client Technology Sourcing team supports key programs and solutions globally in partnership with our Client Technology and Service Line colleagues to continue to enhance EY’s position as a technology driven industry leader.  
 
Technology Sourcing is part of the Global Procurement Group focusing on the requirements from the Technology teams and managing circa $1.5B of spend annually.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

As a working leader, the Client Technology Sourcing lead is responsible for the delivery and management of procurement activities may include the following activities:

 

  • Leadership of a 10 person globally distributed team; includes all facets of counseling, strategy development, coaching, driving quantitative value, etc.
  • Develop category strategies for assigned categories and areas
  • Executive relationship management
  • Manage full lifecycle of contracts for assigned programs of work and key suppliers
  • Pro-actively manage contract negotiations for assigned projects
  • Build and foster collaborative working relationships with EYT and other internal business partners
  • Supporting and leading stakeholders through the Onboarding of Technology Goods and Services end-to-end process.
  • Socialization and facilitation of the Procurement policy and processes, ensuring that the project teams and stakeholders understand the value of the policy and adhere to it accordingly
  • Timely and frequent submission of management information, including project status and savings reporting
  • Contributing to the Client Technology Sourcing annual strategy development and delivery; supporting the Supply Chain Services overall global strategies
  • Facilitation of any needed market research to identify potential suppliers, ensure competitive pricing and terms, etc.
  • Strong experience with senior stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
  • Heavy experience with negotiating contracts related to software licensing & rationalization, cloud-based solutions and professional services
  • Heavy experience with negotiating contracts globally and regionally.
  • Experience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement/Vendor Management team in a complex and global environment
  • Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders
  • Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc) in a global environment
  • The ability to independently manage and prioritize workload
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for change
  • Provide high level of Exceptional Client Service


Skills and attributes for success

 

  • To qualify for the role you must have 
    • 10 – 15 years’ leadership experience sourcing technology goods and services
    • 7+ years in a leadership position
    • Business degree or equivalent a plus
    • Combination of work and experience may be considered
    • CPM (US), CIPS (UK) or similar Procurement certification is welcomed but not essential

 

  • Ideally, you’ll also have
    • CPM (US), CIPS (UK) or similar Procurement certification is welcomed but not essential
    • Good knowledge of IT suppliers and emerging technologies
    • Experience working in an IT role as part of delivering technology solutions is a plus

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $129,600 to $242,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $155,600 to $275,500.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
