As a Senior Consultant within our Risk Management & Independence team, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's commitment to quality, integrity and compliance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to help manage regulatory, independence, and risk-related matters, ensuring EY continues to meet its professional obligations while enabling sustainable business growth.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting risk management and independence processes across the firm through a broad range of activities, including:

  • Providing guidance and support to client-serving professionals on client acceptance, continuance and independence procedures;
  • Reviewing and analysing information across various risk management and compliance systems to identify potential risks, exceptions and inconsistencies;
  • Monitoring compliance with internal policies, professional standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Designing and executing testing procedures to assess the effectiveness of controls and compliance processes;
  • Documenting findings, performing root cause analyses and developing practical recommendations for improvement;
  • Supporting internal monitoring, reporting and quality assurance activities;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Service Lines and internal functions to resolve independence and compliance matters;
  • Contributing to process enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives within the Risk Management & Independence function;
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments, internal policies and industry best practices.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting or a related field;
  • 2 to 3 years of professional experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Affairs, Internal Controls, Independence, Audit or related areas;
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance principles;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Full professional proficiency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

 

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Experience within a professional services environment;
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks, compliance monitoring or internal control testing activities;
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and process improvement approaches;
  • Experience working with data analysis and reporting tools.
