The opportunity
EY is looking for a Data Governance - Senior Consultant to join our team to help organizations to assess the maturity of their current data governance practices and shape their future data management landscapes. You are expected to work with our team on the following assignments:
- Data management policies and processes definition;
- Data quality investigation;
- Data management maturity and data quality assessment;
- Data Governance model design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to interpret the strategic objectives of an organization and transform them into objectives associated with data strategy, management and exploitation;
- Knowledge of best practices and market trends about information and data architectures;
- Identify and characterize data exploitation initiatives;
- Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into functionalities associated with data;
- Experience (minimum of 2 full years) in the definition and implementation of data governance models;
- Experience in defining and implementing policies, processes and procedures related to data management and governance;
- Knowledge and/or experience in data governance tools like Informatica, Microsoft Purview, Collibra and others;
- Communicate with teams & client personnel at appropriate levels when needed;
- Develop your professional knowledge and experiences;
- Possess good business acumen;
- Strong autonomy, problem solving and communication skills.
Skills and attributes for success
- This position will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- You will also be a part of larger team (incl. client-side stakeholders), so communication and collaboration skills will also help you to succeed.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, physics, business administration or economics, etc;
- 3+ years of professional experience in Consulting;
- 3+ years of professional experience in Data and technology-related projects as a Data Governance/Management/Strategy consultant;
- Strong drive to excel professionally;
- Knowledge of topics related to Data Management/Governance and the main technological trends associated;
- Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, analytical, and able to work under pressure;
- Foster an efficient, innovative and team - oriented work environment;
- Full English Proficiency.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience analyzing and documenting business processes;
- Experience using Jira/Confluence;
- Experience in Data & Analytics projects such as designing data models and mapping data flows;
- Sound business writing skills;
- Knowledge of frameworks such as DAMA, CMMI DMM and PMBOK;
- Experience in Agile.
