The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Real Estate - Construction team to our Lisbon or Porto office’s. EY has an established leading real estate technical practice: we address complex issues in all real estate segments and we advise our clients on technical due diligence, project management, procurement, costs analysis, engineering and other advisory services. Your key responsibilities
- Support our Construction team in strategic and operational activities;
- Conduct technical due diligence and urban planning analysis;
- Conduct physical inspections to buildings and data collection;
- Review of Engineering projects;
- Lead technical meetings with general clients, contractors, designers, architects and consultants;
- Conduct Project Management activities based on PMI methodology;
- Preparation of status reports and project management tools;
- Collaborate with people across Strategy and Transactions, as well as the broader EY team to support service delivery outcomes and cross-teaming.
Skills and attributes for success
- Excellent interpersonal and business skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in internal and external forums;
- Ability to work in multiple projects and effectively prioritize competing demands;
- A proactive, supportive and respectful approach to their team, and able to function under pressure but also demonstrate judgment in the need for escalation when required;
- Advanced report writing, analysis and problem solving;
- Fluency in business English and Portuguese is mandatory both verbal and written;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Academic education in Civil Engineering or similar fields of study;
- At least 4 to 10 years of relevant professional experience;
- Proficiency in Office, Autocad, MS Project and PM tools;
- Demonstrate track record in solving complex problems and challenging projects;
- Background in BIM software is valued;
- Certification in PMP is valued;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
