FSO Tax Senior Consultant
Job description
Modern tax regulations are highly complex and dynamic. Working as part the Financial Services Operations (FSO) Tax team, you will make technical contributions to provide tax advisory, transactions and compliance services to our clients in the financial services market, covering some of the world’s largest multinational institutions.
The opportunity
As a Senior Consultant, in FSO Tax team, you will help clients in order to reduce inefficiencies, to mitigate risk and to improve opportunities within their tax functions. Be part of a global team that helps build sustainable tax strategies; assesses, improves and monitors tax functions’ processes, controls and risk management; and supports clients in managing effective relationships with tax authorities.
Your key responsibilities
• Providing a well-integrated broad array of tax services for multiple clients, in financial services market (Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Asset Management), with a high level of efficiency and quality;
• Assisting in the creation, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive tax policies and procedures;
• Providing tax reporting, analysis and validations;
• Defining, developing and implementing effective tax and reporting solutions and processes in accordance to local and global requirements;
• Assisting in establishing, monitoring, evaluating and interpreting tax data;
• Supporting the implementation of key regulatory requirements and guidelines;
• Identifying risks and/or improvement opportunities;
• Supporting the team management;
• Establishing professional and trust relationships with clients and staff, contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture;
• Acting as mentor and coach to the junior members of the team and leading by example;
• Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have
• Academic education in Tax, Economics or similar fields of study;
• At least 4 years of professional experience in tax role, mainly in Financial Services;
• Good knowledge about local and global tax requirements;
• Ability to work in multicultural projects and environments;
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
