The opportunity
We are seeking a talented and motivated Developer .NET to join our FSO Technology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, focusing on .NET solutions, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications that meet our clients' needs.
Your key responsibilities
• Develop and maintain scalable applications using .NET or Java on the backend and React on the frontend.
• Contribute to solution design, write clean, testable code, and deliver features end-to-end for small to medium scope.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teammates to refine requirements and plan iterations.
• Participate in code reviews, uphold coding standards, and improve test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues across the stack.
• Document solutions, contribute to knowledge sharing, and stay current with relevant technologies and practices.
To qualify for the role you must have
• Approximately 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in either .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) or Java (Java 11+) building RESTful APIs and services.
• Production experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including writing efficient queries.
• Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum or Kanban) and collaborative workflows (Git, pull requests, issue tracking).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to break down requirements and estimate work.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional team environment.
• Ownership mindset with attention to quality, security, and maintainability.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, libraries, and frameworks.
Ideally you should also have
• Experience deploying to a major cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker) and basic orchestration concepts (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with microservices, messaging (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and caching (e.g., Redis).
• React ecosystem depth: Hooks, state management (Redux/RTK or similar), testing (Jest/React Testing Library), accessibility basics.
• Knowledge of additional API paradigms (GraphQL, gRPC) and observability tooling (metrics, logs, tracing).
• Understanding of security best practices (OWASP) and fundamentals of performance tuning.
