The opportunity

The Banking Specialist – Operations will support core banking operational functions across Retail, Corporate, Payments, Lending, and Back‑Office processes. The role ensures operational excellence, process control, regulatory compliance, and effective integration between business operations and enabling technologies. This structure mirrors senior professional roles supporting banking operations and transformation initiatives.
The role will be based in our Rapid Innovations which is the Center of Excellence in Pakistan and will support the client engagements across the MENA region.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Operations Management

• Oversee daily banking operations across payments, clearing, settlements, account services, and reconciliation.
• Ensure SLA adherence, process efficiency, and operational risk controls in line with banking governance structures.
• Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

2. Process & Controls Enhancement

• Review and optimize core banking operational workflows.
• Strengthen controls to ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and internal audit requirements.

3. Technology & Systems Integration

• Collaborate with IT and core banking technology teams to enhance systems supporting operations.
• Contribute to testing, UAT, system upgrades, and change requests for operational modules—consistent with roles supporting UAT and process optimization.
  
  

4. Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Product teams to ensure operational alignment.
• Provide insights for operational impacts during new product launches or regulatory changes.

To qualify for the role, you must have

•  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in banking operations across multiple domains.
• Strong understanding of core banking systems, payment platforms, reconciliation systems, workflow tools, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with operational risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to translate operational needs into technology requirements—aligned with ability to translate technical information into business terms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with automation, digitization, or workflow tools.
