  1. Job summary

 

As a Manager within the PAS Mobility Tax team, you will advise multinational and local organisations on managing mobility and employment tax risks, unlocking planning opportunities, and meeting compliance and business objectives across Nigerian tax authorities. You will work across personal income tax, social security, and broader mobility‑related tax matters, playing a key role in delivering high‑quality, practical solutions to clients navigating an increasingly complex tax and social security landscape.   1. Key responsibilities

 

  1. Lead the end-to-end delivery of Global Mobility and employment tax services for local and international assignee populations, including inbound, outbound, and short-term business travellers.
  2. Manage personal income tax compliance engagements across multiple authorities within Nigeria, including annual individual tax filings, technical reviews, payroll tax diagnostics, and remediation of identified compliance and risk gaps.
  3. Provide mobility tax advisory support on cross border assignments, equity-based compensation, shadow payroll obligations, social security coordination, and the tax treatment of termination, exit, and settlement payments.
  4. Function as a key client contact on tax and social security audits, inquiries, and disputes, coordinating responses and liaising with tax authorities to achieve timely, practical, and risk managed outcomes.
  5. Manage concurrent Global Mobility client portfolios, ensuring engagements are delivered on time, within agreed scope, budget, and PAS quality standards.
  6. Review and sign off on Global Mobility deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with local legislation, regulatory requirements, and EY global methodologies.
  7. Supervise, coach, and develop PAS Mobility Tax team members, providing on the job technical guidance, performance feedback, and coaching aligned with EY's learning framework.
  8. Support practice growth initiatives, including proposal development, client pitches, thought leadership, and internal training, while monitoring legislative and regulatory developments impacting internationally mobile employees.

 

  1. Requirements

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Law, Administration, Finance, Economics or related discipline with a minimum of second class (upper division) or its equivalent.
  2. Fluent in English with advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Professional qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA (for non-lawyers).
  4. Minimum of 4 years’ continuous experience in professional tax practice in a related area.
  5. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
