Job description
Role
Serve as a front‑line counsel driving medium‑to‑high complexity commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management; and lead process improvements that elevate service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess and manage regulatory risks across all operations.
- Lead drafting/negotiation of agreements involving EY and own end-to-end contract lifecycles.
- Proffering advice and guidance on a wide range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
- Manage litigation and pre‑contentious issues, evidence preservation, and coordinate external counsel; track exposures and settlement strategy in alignment with risk appetite.
- Partner with client serving teams to embed regulatory considerations into decision-making and execution.
- Carry out additional duties assigned from time to time.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: LL. B and B.L mandatory; postgraduate law or business degree (LL.M/MBA) is a plus.
- Licensure: Compliance, corporate governance and/or data protection certification is a plus.
- Experience: 4–6 years with demonstrable responsibility for handling complex commercial contracts and regulatory implementation. A mix of top‑tier law firm and in‑house experience is preferred
Technical Skills
- Expert‑level commercial drafting and negotiation.
- Strong command of privacy/data protection, corporate governance, competition/ consumer, employment, and compliance program design.
- Comfort with cross‑border issues and proficiency with tech and data‑driven reporting.
