The opportunity

Join EY FAAS Data & AI team as a Business Intelligence (BI) professional, where you will help finance leaders unlock value from their data through high-impact dashboards, analytics, and reporting automation. You will work closely with Finance stakeholders and product owners to translate business requirements into Power BI and Tableau solutions, owning the full delivery lifecycle, from data preparation and modelling through prototyping, UAT, publishing, refresh scheduling, and ongoing performance optimization.

This role is ideal for a hands-on consultant who combines strong technical BI capability with finance reporting expertise, disciplined delivery, and stakeholder management in a client-facing environment.

Your key responsibilities

In this exciting role as a Senior Consultant, you will be accountable for end-to-end BI delivery and operations, including:

• Lead requirement gathering with Finance stakeholders and product owners, translating needs into a prioritized dashboard backlog.
• Design reporting approaches, drill-down structures, and dashboards aligned to usability, accuracy, and executive visibility.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau, applying strong visualization practices and data storytelling.
• Build wireframes and beta dashboards and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
• Own end-to-end data preparation and ETL/ELT activities required to support reporting.
• Write and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries and create robust data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
• Execute structured testing and UAT (test scripts, defect triage, fixes, retesting, and sign-off support).
• Prepare dashboards for release including refresh readiness, documentation, and operational validation.
• Manage BI platform operations including performance and usability monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Perform functional administration tasks: users, groups, permissions, publishing governance, and subscriptions/alerts as required.
• Ensure timely delivery and high-quality outputs aligned to agreed priorities, SLAs, and stakeholder expectations.

Skills and attributes for success

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience delivering BI solutions (preferably in consulting or professional services).
• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI (data modelling, measures, visuals, performance tuning, publishing, refresh scheduling)
• Strong hands-on experience in Tableau (dashboards, calculations, parameters, sets/bins/groups, context filters, action filters, table calculations)
• SQL / PL/SQL and complex query development
• Strong hands-on experience in ETL/data preparation (transformations, validation, reconciliation logic)
• Strong experience in prototyping, UX-oriented dashboard design, and requirements analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate drill-down reporting and executive-ready dashboards, ideally within a Finance context.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve data, refresh, and performance issues across datasets and workbooks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English is required.
