Technology Consulting - Senior Functional Architect (SAP S/4HANA)

The opportunity
The functional lead will prepare workshop materials- per L3 process identifying likely pain-points and opportunities for a given client using EY's collateral and their own experiences.
They will facilitate workshops to step through every L3 process, understanding how the Client performs the process and their pain-points / points of competitive advantage. During the workshops, they will identify the key differences to SAP S/4HANA- identifying and explaining opportunities.
Using EY's Phase 0 methodology, they will prioritize the opportunities considering the Client's business vision and their own experience. They will explain the prioritization to the business. They will identify where a differentiated solution is required to enable the Client to achieve their business vision.
They will summarize their findings in a report to be presented to the Client's senior leaders.
Your key responsibilities:
- You are the day-to-day point of contact for clients and senior managers on projects. You structure and engage teams to deliver high quality outputs
- Along with senior management, you take the lead in identifying client issues and proposing the most appropriate approach for challenges that governments face
- You help develop the business and acquire new clients and engagements, including the identification and pursuit of business opportunities by forging strong client relationships
- You build and maintain long-term relationships with senior clients
- You will be involved in defining and delivering digital solutions for our clients
- You drive strategic discussions regarding business objectives and strategy KPIs
- You capture strategic objectives, vision and iterative feedback from our clients’ stakeholders
- You drive ideation, evaluation, definition and prioritization of features and use cases
- You help lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and user researchers to build user-centric solutions
- You represent the voice of business strategy, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data to ensure product decisions address their needs.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Experience of Design to Deployment of at least two SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- 10+ years' experience in SAP deployment role, ideally with a leading SI partner.
- Involvement in sales activities- such as RFP response for large transformation opportunities.
- Able to articulate the differences between ECC and S/4 for given functional area. Able to translate differences into the context of different business challenges.
- Able to explain the usage of S/4 in a business context- how the system and processes will work in a real-world context, using business friendly (not SAP) descriptions.
- Able to explain the benefits of an SAP standard and harmonized approach for given functional area, using examples.
- Able to demonstrate usage of key transactions within given functional area- explaining key aspects to a Client audience.
- Excellent Client facing skills:
- Able to understand and manage perspective of people not familiar with SAP.
- Able to listen to Client challenges and translate to a system context.
- Able to articulate benefits and challenges of proposed solutions.
- Able to manage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Flexibility to manage rapidly changing requirements. Phase 0 deals with the Client before formal governance has been established. Requires patience and understanding.
- Able to evaluate risks to timelines / desired outcomes and propose potential mitigations.
- Self-starter. Able to manage own workload based on objectives.
