The opportunity
As an Assurance Manager/Senior Manager in Capital Market team, you will provide audit and non-audit services to clients who are developing and executing transformational strategies, such as launching an initial public offering (IPO) in the U.S., implementing improvements to internal controls and transitioning to either IFRS or US GAAP accounting standards. The Capital Markets team also is responsible for supporting our audit teams in applying audit standards appropriately and maintaining the firm’s central priority of audit quality.
Your key responsibilities
- Deliver technical accounting and US financial reporting advice across a range of clients and capital markets transactions
- Supporting our audit teams to deliver audits under PCAOB and local audit standards
- Deliver training and coaching to our internal audit practice on developments in audit standards and methodologies, including digital audit transformation and regulatory inspection support
- Expanding your network as you build relationships with senior stakeholders at your clients, their securities legal counsel, and within EY
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or professional accounting qualification/ ACCA affiliate
- Experience auditing U.S. publicly traded companies with extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS and managing audit engagements
- In-depth technical knowledge of PCAOB audits and SEC reporting
- Strong communication and project management skills and willingness to travel
- Hands-on experience in a globally recognized audit firm and providing audit services to clients pursuing capital raising strategies is a plus
