Cloud Engineer, AI & Data - Senior Associate/Manager

We are recruiting experienced Cloud Engineers primarily to design, develop and implement cloud infrastructure for our client. Most of your time will be spent embedded with our client's team delivering and improving cloud solutions and services.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, implement and deploy Cloud solutions as Infrastructure as Code with consideration towards Security, Networking, Backup, and Disaster Recovery at our client sites
• Leverage your knowledge and EY’s Cloud Alliances to actively identify opportunities to help our clients and shape Cloud solutions
• Perform cloud assessments, POCs, designs and strategy

Skills and attributes for success

• Cloud Platform Engineering experience on one or more of the leading Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) – subscription/account design, networking, services deployment etc.
• Experience with DevOps for cloud platform configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management automation tools
• Understanding of Cloud Native Platforms such as Databricks, Kubernetes, Open Shift and
• Docker. Ability to build & deploy applications, services, and workloads
• Understand security and compliance for cloud environment
• Curious and personable
• Have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code languages like Terraform, ARM, Bicep, CloudFormation, PowerShell or Python
• Experience in the following areas:
  • Infrastructure as code
  • Security, including Identity and Access Management
  • Networking
  • Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity

To qualify for the role you must have

• 3-7 years of relevant experience developing Cloud Solutions using PaaS, SaaS and IaaS
• Experience in provisioning cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) environments using IaC – e.g.Terraform, ARM templates
• Knowledge of security control techniques and how they can be applied to cloud-based and hybrid solutions.
• Experience with Cloud Native Platforms e.g., Databricks, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker.
• Experience with cloud native databases – Aurora, Dynamo DB, Cosmos, Synapse etc.
• Relevant industry certification.
• Good understanding on Agile and DevOps methodologies and tooling
• An appetite to learn new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and frameworks with ability to mentor and coach team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Hands-on experience with migration from Data Centre to Public Cloud or Hybrid Cloud
• Hands-on experience in working with Agile methods for software delivery e.g., Scrum, SAFE, Kanban, Lean, TDD and CI/CD.
• Infrastructure solutions covering Hybrid Cloud, Security, Operating Systems, Network, and Identity
• Sound understanding of serverless application technologies, e.g., serverless, microservices, containerization, distributed architectures, API management
• Fundamental understand of WAN/ LAN technologies in the context of Cloud platforms
• Excellent presentation skills.
