Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help to support important business enablement functions that keep our organisation running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources, and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability.
The opportunity
EY Malaysia is seeking a senior Learning & Development professional to lead our learning and organisational capability in alignment with firm strategy and future business needs.
The role operates as a strategic partner to senior leadership on a broad range of learning and development agenda, ensuring that learning investment delivers business and cultural impact.
Your key responsibilities
Enterprise Learning & Leadership Stewardship
- Set and steward Malaysia’s enterprise leadership and capability agenda aligned to EY strategy and future workforce needs.
- Translate evolving business priorities into clear, focused leadership and capability roadmaps.
- Balance global frameworks with market needs, guided by judgement and impact.
Business Partnership & Transformation
- Act as a trusted advisor to Malaysia Leadership Team on leadership effectiveness, talent readiness and cultural alignment.
- Enable leadership and behavioural shifts that support ethical leadership, wellbeing and sustainable performance.
- Influence outcomes through credibility, insight and partnership.
People Leadership & Organisational Enablement
- Lead and develop a multi‑Service Line Learning & Development team, ensuring capability, succession and resilience.
- Embed consistent leadership expectations across Service Lines and ranks.
- Ensure leadership development is integrated into business‑as‑usual processes.
Governance, Investment & Systems Oversight
- Own governance and investment decisions for enterprise learning and leadership initiatives.
- Ensure enterprise learning platforms and leadership academies are effective, consistent and fit for purpose.
- Define and monitor measures of impact focused on leadership effectiveness and readiness.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strategic, enterprise‑level perspective with the ability to connect leadership and capability to business outcomes.
- Strong judgement, discretion and comfort influencing in complex, ambiguous environments.
- Credibility and presence with senior leaders on people, culture and transformation matters.
- Collaborative and inclusive leadership style that builds trust and accountability.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Significant experience leading enterprise learning, leadership or talent agendas in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership on organisational capability and transformation.
- Proven people leadership experience, including building and developing high‑performing teams.
- A recognised university degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Professional services or experience in similar complex organisational environments.
- Exposure to regional or global operating models.
