The opportunity

 

The candidate has a remit to help build and enhance the organization’s brand, profile and reputation through strategic external and internal communications programs and activities. The role will focus on raising and maintaining a high profile and presence for the organization and its leaders among external influencers and stakeholders, as well as engaging key internal audiences to generate impactful outcomes.

 

The candidate will be responsible for working closely with senior leadership to develop communications platforms that will help differentiate EY’s brand by elevating awareness and introducing communications programs that position the organization as a preferred service provider. This role requires a dynamic, proactive communicator who is adept at moving from strategy to ground execution, works well under pressure and excels at building strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Develop and deliver an integrated external and internal communications strategy that integrates PR/media, social, digital, and content channels. Set measurable goals that not only elevate our brand and reputation but also forge stronger relationships.
  • Develop and manage a multi-format content strategy, including commissioning material, and developing and activating a suite of distinctive, timely and impactful digital and print content that resonate  in the external marketplace.
  • Champion the internal communications strategy and provide counsel on executive communications.
  • Serve as the brand custodian to the organization and perform quality reviews, ensuring every piece of communication aligns with our core values.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including media organizations, to expand outreach, source opportunities and generate interest in topics.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to execute communications programs in close consultation with local stakeholders
  • Develop strong relationships with key EY spokespersons and stakeholders, providing counsel and advice on the communications and media relations strategy.
  • Support the internal EY teams and stakeholders to develop, write and activate thought leadership articles for various external communications platforms

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business, Marketing, New Media or related field
  • Demonstrated success in a communications role with strong media relations experience with exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to write for a variety of audiences and communications mediums
  • Project/ Campaign management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of traditional and new communications platforms and best practices, and a passion for innovation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, from executive communications to marketing copy to thought leadership content
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Meticulous, with an eye for detail
  • Able to work independently, virtually, and collaboratively in a large, matrixed organization
  • Strong project management and delivery skills with a proven ability to manage complex processes, projects or programs and deliver with agility and resilience
  • Possesses the confidence and maturity to interact effectively and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Passionate about teamwork and willing to work on-the-ground to execute projects
