SAP Manager 1,2 TechOps (Delivery Lead -Automation) Consultant
The Opportunity
We are looking for an SAP Delivery Lead to join the EY GDS Team. It is a senior role managing the end-to-end delivery of automated solutions, focusing on strategy, team leadership, stakeholder communication, risk management, and ensuring projects meet quality, time, and budget goals, leveraging expertise in automation tools, programming, and project methodologies like Agile/Scrum to drive innovation and efficiency in digital transformations. To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences.
- Typically requires 8-10+ years of technical experience in SAP environments, with a proven track record in leadership and project implementation.
- Deep understanding of SAP modules and the technology landscape, along with hands-on experience with SAP automation tools and CI/CD services.
- Methodologies: Proficiency in project management and Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
- Extensive experience in SAP Build Process Automation for building workflows and using bots, Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Knowledge in MM (Materials Management) or SD (Sales & Distribution), or SCM (Supply Chain Management)
- Proficiency in project management and Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
- Experience working in a global setting with multi-regional teams, understanding cultural nuances and time zone differences.
- Ability to manage cross functional and technical team, give them directions and drive technical discussions with various stake holders
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross functional team environment.
- Understanding of SAP Functional modules and business processes with the ability to translate business requirements and issues into technical solutions
- Proven track record of successfully driving solutions in a complex, multi-platform environment
- Extensive in client management working with various regions in a global setting
- Depth of experience in setting up, growing, transforming, and delivering application management teams
- Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence
- Strong client management, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically and make data driven decisions
What you will do:
- Project Management: Oversee automation initiatives from definition to execution, managing scope, timelines, milestones, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Bridge communication between business users (e.g., finance, procurement) and technical teams (developers, consultants).
- Solution Design & Delivery: Guide the development of automated workflows, often using low-code/no-code platforms or RPA.
- Champion the adoption of DevOps practices in SAP landscapes, including the use of CI/CD pipelines (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) to automate building, testing, and deployment of code changes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure automated processes meet business requirements and deliver tangible benefits like faster order processing or improved data accuracy.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior AI specialists and team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including system configuration, installation procedures and guidelines.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and SAP best practices to drive operational efficiency through automation and innovation
