EY-GDS: Business Consulting -SC And O-Supply Chain And Operations–Manager-Procurement
As part of our EY-GDS team, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the procurement strategy and transformation agenda for our clients. As a manager, you will lead engagements that deliver enterprise-wide impact, strengthen procurement effectiveness and drive digital maturity while developing the next generation of procurement talent within the organization. Your strategic vision, consulting rigor and leadership will directly influence our clients’ procurement innovation and operational excellence. Additionally, you will contribute to building and developing our go-to-market strategy for competency development and lead procurement initiatives and pursuits.
The opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager with 8-10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong consulting background, deep domain expertise across procurement sub-functions and a demonstrated ability to lead complex transformation engagements. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and execute procurement strategies, drive category excellence, enable digital procurement capabilities and influence senior stakeholders across client and internal organizations. The candidate must possess exceptional leadership skills and the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships while delivering high-impact procurement outcomes.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop, refine and implement procurement strategies aligned with client and organizational business objectives
- Lead large-scale procurement transformation engagements encompassing process redesign, operating model enhancements, governance and change management
- Support clients in identifying and adopting digital procurement solutions ensuring effective implementation and value realization
- Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement across procurement processes
- Lead cross-functional teams in the creation of procurement proposals, fostering collaboration to ensure alignment with market trends and organizational goals
- Develop and drive procurement go-to-market strategies that align with organizational objectives, ensuring competitive differentiation in proposals
- Conduct market assessments to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in procurement practices, ensuring that the organization remains competitive
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring and developing team members, enhancing their skill set
- Organize training and development initiatives to build internal capabilities, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet evolving market demands
- Track and analyze procurement performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership on the impact of procurement strategies on overall business success
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment on procurement objectives and outcomes

- Strong domain expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, contract management and digital procurement tools
- Demonstrated success in leading procurement transformation programs with measurable business impact
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and interpersonal communication skills, with experience in working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Strong project management capabilities, with experience in delivering multiple initiatives simultaneously on time and within budget
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, generate insights and propose actionable recommendations
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of coaching, developing and managing high-performing teams
- High degree of business acumen, strategic orientation and problem-solving ability
To qualify for the role, you should have
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Supply chain & Operations from a Tier-1/ Tier-2 institute, with 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Proven track record of delivering procurement transformation engagements with measurable impact
- Proven experience in leading cost optimization, category strategies and strategic sourcing across multiple spend categories
- Experience in delivering procurement transformation projects involving process re-design, P2P/S2P system implementation or digital procurement enablement
- Familiarity with procurement technologies such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Jaggaer, or similar platforms
- Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving client needs and dynamic project environment
- Supply chain consulting experience in Big 4, Supply chain global consulting firms preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, depending on project requirements
