Our FAAS Managed Services practice supports leading global clients in transforming and operating their finance functions. We deliver high-quality, standardized, and insight-driven controllership operations across reconciliation, close, and reporting processes within a scalable COE model.
The Opportunity
This role is part of a financial accounting and reconciliation of investment Ops Functions supporting global financial services clients. You will focus on diverse reconciliation processes and controllership related close activities across multiple systems and legal entities.
You will play a key role in ensuring project requirements, timely close, and issue resolution, while working closely with onshore stakeholders and client.
You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues.
You will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Operational Delivery and Accountabilities
- Execute core accounting activities such as transaction review, postings support, reconciliations, clearing, and variance explanations to support ongoing BAU delivery
- Use SAP reporting and line-item review to investigate exceptions
- Ensure all outputs are supported by structured, review-ready documentation with complete evidence
- Leverage SAP tools and execute medium to high complexity transactions and reconciliations in SAP, applying strong analytical judgment to resolve exceptions and open items
- Demonstrate accountability by taking ownership and continuously evaluate existing workflows to identify efficiency gaps, process risks, and improvement opportunities
- Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY GDS FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations
- Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise with client controllership and onshore teams to resolve issues and close open items
- Communicate progress, risks, and key insights in a timely and structured manner
- Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals
- Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to enhance reconciliation efficiency and reporting quality
- Support automation initiatives using Excel/Alteryx/analytics tools aligned with COE strategy
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong understanding of advanced accounting and reconciliation processes
- Experience working with ERP and accounting platforms (SAP, Eagle, or equivalent)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; exposure to automation and analytics tools is a plus
- High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability mindset
- Ability to handle high-volume, deadline-driven environments
- Strong communication skills for global stakeholder interaction
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- CA / ACCA / CPA / MBA (Finance) / Commerce Graduate
- 0–5 years of experience in finance operations, investment accounting, or reconciliation functions
- Experience working in financial services / investment operations environment (preferred)
