Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Data Architect with 8–12 years of relevant experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare IT, data architecture, health informatics, data management, or digital transformation.

The successful candidate will bring strong practical experience in designing modern healthcare data architectures, enterprise data solutions, data models, integration frameworks, and cloud-based data platforms. The role also requires a sound understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 v2 and FHIR, XML-based healthcare data formats, and practical experience in data governance, data quality, master data management, analytics, and regulatory compliance.

This role is suited to a collaborative professional who can contribute as an individual expert while also supporting healthcare data strategy, architecture design, technical solutioning, workstream leadership, stakeholder workshops, and business development activities. The candidate will work closely with business, clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders, listening to different perspectives and translating their needs into scalable, secure, and sustainable healthcare data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of modern healthcare data architectures and enterprise data solutions.

Advise healthcare providers, public sector organizations, health systems, and digital health stakeholders on data strategies, target-state architectures, and digital transformation initiatives.

Design healthcare data architectures that integrate clinical, operational, administrative, structured, and unstructured data sources.

Develop logical and physical data models based on healthcare business, clinical, analytical, and regulatory requirements.

Define interoperability approaches using standards such as HL7 v2, FHIR, and other relevant healthcare frameworks and data-exchange formats.

Support seamless data exchange across EHRs, clinical systems, digital health platforms, analytics solutions, and public health ecosystems.

Design cloud-based healthcare data platforms using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.

Design data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT frameworks, API-enabled architectures, and scalable analytics platforms.

Support the adoption of healthcare analytics, AI-enabled data solutions, and advanced reporting capabilities.

Develop data governance, data quality, master data management, and information management frameworks aligned with healthcare industry best practices.

Facilitate workshops with business, clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.

Support business case development, architecture roadmaps, and implementation planning for digital health and healthcare data initiatives.

Ensure healthcare data solutions consider GDPR, healthcare data regulations, data privacy, security, governance, and applicable European Union requirements.

Participate in and drive technical solutioning, architecture discussions, data modelling, and implementation planning for healthcare data use cases.

Lead workstreams within complex healthcare data and digital transformation programs.

Collaborate respectfully with architects, clinicians, product teams, business teams, and executive stakeholders to align expectations and support successful delivery.

Lead, guide, and mentor team members on healthcare data architecture, data modelling, integration, governance, and implementation approaches, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Review technical deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, scalability, and alignment with the agreed architecture and requirements.

Track and report project progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

Support proposal development, business development activities, client presentations, and client relationship management.

Contribute to capability development, reusable assets, methodologies, and knowledge-sharing activities within the healthcare and digital health practice.

Stay updated with evolving healthcare data standards, cloud technologies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
