Job Description: Audit Process Lead – EY GDS Assurance

 

About EY GDS Assurance

Assurance is one of the largest Service Lines (SL) at EY, responsible for approximately a third of the firm's annual revenue in FY25. It includes five main sub-service lines: Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), Forensics and Integrity Services (FIS), Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS), and Technology Risk (TR). EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) provides services to clients in more than 50 countries, with Assurance being an area of ongoing growth and strategic focus.

 

Position Overview

The Audit Process Lead is a newly created role reporting to the GDS Assurance Audit teams. The role is primarily responsible for driving process improvements within the Audit delivery lifecycle including deployment efficiencies, ensuring compliance with quality management standards, leverage of technology and KPI monitoring.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders across the Assurance Service Line to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Implement the identified process improvements across the Audit business lifecycle, including but not limited to delivery, learning and deployment/assignment
  • Develop process maps that are clear, detailed, and user focused
  • Ensure redesigned or improved processes comply with relevant System of Quality Management (SQM) controls
  • Assess and select systems and tools to address gaps between current and future processes
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs and metrics evaluating the effectiveness and value of process changes.
  • Compare internal metrics to industry standards and best practices

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 12 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years at global professional services firms
  • Familiarity with EY and/or global delivery models
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional process initiatives
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders across different time zones to implement changes and improvements
  • Analytical skills for problem identification and solution implementation
  • Demonstrated success implementing impactful process improvements
  • Prior Audit delivery or deployment experience is preferred but not essential
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying findings and recommendations
