The opportunity
The GDS NBD team specialize in coordinating New Business Development (NBD) Audit and Budget Management. Our diverse teams specialize in coordinating Business Development (BD) activities, supporting Go-to-Market projects and providing operational support to the Markets organization
Your key responsibilities
- NBD Spend monitoring
- Review of spend against NBD budget (MTD&YTD) – flag up any concerns to MSM/concerned project team.
- Identifying spend that is not classified as NBD, out of policy spend, etc and flagging to MSMs.
- Knowledge of each Industries, key spenders, key areas of spend is required to build up overall knowledge of Industries and how they manage/use NBD budgets
- Engaging with the Finance /Accounts Payable Team to understand what invoices have hit the code that month and challenging when required.
- Coordination on code creation – supporting MSMs, other Project Managers and engaging with Finance to set-up new codes
- A solid understanding of our Market Segment / SL structure
- In-depth understanding of process, policy, and stakeholders
- High level of engagement with MSMs – hands on stakeholder engagement and open communication. Relationships with all MSMs is key.
- Manage UK&I NBD Shared Mailbox responding to all queries within SLA of 1 working day
- Manage UK&I NBD SharePoint and updating of process documents, key contacts for SL and MS and other policies
- Coordinate with MSM’s for Invoices and help follow up until payments are released
- Support for reallocation of expenses identified as Non-NBD to appropriate codes
- Work on various projects, as required, including pipeline planning
- Attend and contribute to weekly / daily UK team meetings as required
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Experience in Financial analysis
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Very detail orientated, thorough and organised
- Proficient IT skills
- Ability to administer due diligence with accurate and precise attention to detail
- Experienced in working autonomously, delivering to deadlines.
- Develop dashboard showing expense forecast until the last month of a fiscal year based on actual spend value of the current period and prior year run rates
- Skilled at juggling multiple priorities with multiple stakeholders, functions across different regions.
- A can-do attitude; being able to deal with several projects simultaneously whilst in addition, reacting to inbound work
Experience and qualifications:
- Graduate / Post-graduate – (Business Administration, Finance) with 5 to 8 years work experience in business process management (BPM), consulting, research and/or some corporate strategy.
Technologies and Tools
- Power BI
- Excel, SharePoint, Teams and Power point
- Experience in SAP VIM tool and Alteryx preferred but not essential
