The opportunity
As the CBS Test Lead - Assistant Director, you will be at the forefront of our technology initiatives, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your leadership will guide a hybrid team of testers, both from EY and our vendor partners, as you drive operational excellence in our CBS solutions delivery. This role is crucial for maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability, and your contributions will directly influence the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and Develop a Team: You will oversee a hybrid team of testers, ensuring that both EY staff and vendors are developed and equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. Your mentorship will foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert: As a QA and performance testing expert, you will ensure that best practices are followed and kept current with new developments in the market driving automation whare possible. Your insights will help shape our quality assurance strategies and processes.
- Drive Operational Excellence: You will be responsible for strategically controlling and allocating testing resources across multiple projects. Your ability to manage resources efficiently will maximize productivity and ensure that testing is completed to acceptable standards within agreed timelines.
- Collaborate with Project Managers: Work closely with Portfolio leads and project managers to understand the pipeline of work. You will estimate testing resource time requirements and allocate resources effectively, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Manage Defect Triage: Own the defect triage process within Application Lifecycle Management, collaborating with Project Managers and developers to resolve issues promptly. Your proactive approach will help maintain the quality of our products throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Keep track of new tools and techniques in the market, making recommendations for improvements. Your commitment to continuous learning will ensure that our quality assurance practices remain cutting-edge.

- The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in quality assurance and testing, with a passion for delivering high-quality technology solutions. You should possess:
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with quality assurance methodologies and testing techniques, including both manual and automated testing.
- Leadership Skills: A proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to present information clearly and effectively, adapting messaging for different audiences.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate testing results and generate actionable insights.
What we look for
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role, with a focus on performance testing.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

- OpenText products, Azure DevOps, and open-source tools such as JMeter and Selenium.
