About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join our growing GDS MENA SAP practice. In this senior role, the person will lead end-to-end solutioning for SAP S/4HANA pursuits and drive delivery excellence across complex transformation programmes. He/She will be the go-to expert bridging functional depth, technical innovation, and infrastructure know-how — while managing senior client stakeholders and contributing directly to our business growth.
SAP Solution Architect
Key Responsibilities
- RFP Solutioning & Pre-Sales
- Lead end-to-end SAP solution design and architecture for RFP / RFI responses, including fit-gap analysis, effort estimation, and solution narratives
- Develop compelling, differentiating solution proposals for SAP S/4HANA transformation engagements
- Present solutions to client stakeholders and evaluation panels; handle clarifications and orals
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and commercial teams to define win strategies and pricing models
- Contribute to the development of reusable solution accelerators, templates, and point-of-views
- Delivery Execution
- Oversee end-to-end solution architecture and design governance across SAP S/4HANA implementation projects
- Serve as the escalation point for architectural decisions, integration design, and technical risk management
- Lead blueprint / design workshops with client teams and internal workstream leads
- Ensure delivery quality through structured architecture reviews, milestone governance, and solution validation
- Mentor and guide junior architects and functional consultants within the team
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with CXO-level and senior IT/business stakeholders
- Manage client expectations, resolve escalations, and drive alignment across complex stakeholder landscapes
- Support account growth through identification of expansion opportunities within existing engagements
Required Skills & Experience
- SAP Functional Expertise
- 15+ years of SAP experience with deep functional expertise in one or more core modules: FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, PS, HCM
- Proven experience in at least two full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations in a lead architect or senior consultant capacity
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA core architecture — Universal Journal, Embedded Analytics, Simplified Data Model
- Hands-on experience in fit-gap / fit-to-standard workshops and business process transformation
- Technical & Modern SAP Platform Knowledge
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP): Integration Suite, Extension Suite, Build Apps, HANA Cloud, Analytics Cloud
- SAP Signavio: Process Intelligence, Process Manager, Collaboration Hub for process mining and design
- SAP Integration: SAP Integration Suite, CPI/iFlow design, API Management
- RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP: deployment models, commercial constructs, and adoption roadmaps
- SAP Fiori / UI5: UX strategy, custom app development approach, and role-based cockpit design
- Data migration tooling: SAP BODS, LTMC / LTMOM, migration cockpit best practices
- Familiarity with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and embedded analytics
- Infrastructure & Platform Knowledge
- Understanding of SAP infrastructure landscape: HANA appliances, TDI (Tailored Data Center Integration), hyperscaler deployments
- Hands-on or advisory experience with SAP on major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of SAP BASIS and system landscape design: transport management, system sizing, HA/DR strategies
- Awareness of SAP certified cloud infrastructure requirements and RISE with SAP technical packaging

Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 12–18 years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 10 years in SAP, including senior architecture or leadership roles
- SAP Certified Application Associate or Professional certification in relevant module(s) — mandatory
- SAP BTP certification (Integration or Extension Suite) — highly desirable
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification — advantageous
- Prior experience in a Big 4 consulting firm, global SI, or equivalent SAP partner practice — preferred
