About Global Delivery Services
Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.
Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.
Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.
The Opportunity
Release Coordinator at Staff rank
As a Release Coordinator, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of releases across teams, ensuring smooth deployments and adherence to ITSM processes.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to track schedules, manage dependencies, and support Go-Live activities, gaining hands-on experience in enterprise release management, DevOps practices, and service delivery environments, while building a foundation for growth into higher ownership roles.
You will also be participating in Service onboarding, Service Transition, Service operations using ITSM leading practices for products, applications and services delivered at EY.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and coordination of release schedules, timelines, and activities
- Maintain and track the release calendar in alignment with planned deployments and changes
- Coordinate with development, deployment, Infrastructure, QA, and support teams to ensure readiness for releases
- Assist in identifying and tracking dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating when required
- Support execution of release readiness reviews and CAB meetings
- Monitor release progress and provide status updates and reports to stakeholders
- Assist in deployment coordination (Go-Live support) and ensure adherence to release procedures
- Maintain documentation for release activities, including release notes, checklists, and dependencies
- Support test environment readiness, ensuring all prerequisites are met
- Participate in post-implementation reviews (PIR) and lessons learned activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of release processes and documentation
- You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues.
- You will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.
- In line with EY commitment to quality, you’ll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.
Skills and attributes for success
As the Release coordinator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders
- Strong coordination and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of application architecture and dependencies
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
- Working knowledge of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, or similar)
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub) is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation practices
Ideally, you’ll also
- Have ITIL Foundation knowledge or certification (preferred)
- Exposure to enterprise applications or SaaS platforms
- Awareness of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Understanding of service transition and onboarding processes
- Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with global delivery environments
- Ability to support reporting, dashboards, and metrics tracking
- Willingness to support shift-based or on-call activities if needed
- Contribute to knowledge management and documentation practices
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in release coordination, IT operations, or related ITSM roles
- Exposure to release management processes in medium-to-large environments
- Basic understanding of change management, CI/CD concepts, and environment coordination
- Experience working with multiple teams (development, testing, infrastructure, support)
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy
- Working knowledge of enterprise application environments is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to follow structured processes while adapting to dynamic requirements
- Experience supporting service transition or onboarding for 2 clients
- Experience working in multiple industries preferably Insurance/Financial services/Banking domains
