Role

 

As a Manager, you will lead end-to-end workstreams with US and global teams to deliver large-scale transformation programs for Life Sciences clients. You’ll contribute your sector expertise and consulting skills to help design PMO/EPMO/Transformation Office capabilities, strengthen program and portfolio delivery, and enable data-driven decision-making.

 

This role is ideal for professionals with deep Life Sciences sector and value chain expertise and proven consulting experience - those who can combine strategic thinking, delivery leadership, and client engagement to deliver measurable outcomes. In addition to delivery leadership, you’ll support and grow a skilled team experienced in planning, controlling, and executing transformation initiatives. You’ll also engage in strategic conversations with clients, helping to identify opportunities for EY to add value and contribute to business development.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategy & Solution Design

  • Translate corporate strategy into phased transformation roadmaps, target operating models, and investment cases across R&D, clinical, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
  • Work with technical teams to design custom solutions that align with client’s needs and fit the specific context of their organization.
  • Design compliant-by-default solutions with fluency in GxP, data integrity, and change control.

 

Assessment, Planning & Value Realization

  • Develop project plans with timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate process, data, technology, talent, and control maturity using structured frameworks and benchmarks.
  • Construct value trees linking use cases to drivers (cycle time, yield, cost-to-serve, quality, compliance risk), defining baselines, KPIs, and a benefits ledger with ownership and verification methods.
  • Design sourcing models and govern vendor relationships (CROs, CDMOs, platforms, SI partners).

 

Implementation & Delivery

  • Oversee deployment, configuration, and integration of solutions including data migration and system setup.
  • Stand up product-centric portfolios, run agile-at-scale, manage dependencies and risks, and integrate PMO discipline.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance of solutions to ensure functionality and resolve issues pre-launch.
  • Monitor solution performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

 

Change Enablement & Communication

  • Lead change management strategies including communications, training, role design, and incentives.
  • Facilitate large-format workshops (discovery, future-state design, prioritization) with visual synthesis and storytelling.
  • Act as liaison between clients and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Develop communication strategies to manage stakeholder engagement and resistance to change.

 

Governance, Documentation & Digital Literacy

  • Map and align executive sponsors and functional leaders under clear governance and decision rights.
  • Maintain documentation including user manuals, training materials, and project reports.
  • Demonstrate literacy in data models, master data, interoperability, cloud platforms, validated systems, and genAI/analytics productization.
  • Apply controls for safety, bias, privacy, and traceability in digital solutions.

 

Technology & Data Enablement

  • Oversee configuration and integration of PPM tools (e.g., Planview, Clarity, Jira, Azure DevOps) with validated Life Sciences platforms (e.g., Veeva, Medidata, SAP S/4HANA, LIMS/ELN).
  • Define KPIs and lead development of dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) to provide executives with clear visibility into milestones, quality metrics, and transformation outcomes.

 

People Leadership & Cross-Border Delivery

  • Manage and coach teams across regions, set goals, provide feedback, and ensure GxP awareness and audit-ready documentation.
  • Lead distributed delivery with seamless US–India collaboration, ensuring consistency and accountability.

 

Quality & Risk Management

  • Maintain EY quality and risk standards, ensuring validation traceability, ALCOA+ data integrity, and robust change control throughout delivery.

Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics, or Social/Organizational Science; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience (Overall): 9-12 years total relevant experience (or 7+ with a graduate degree) with 5+ years leading in one or more of the following areas:
    • Transformation / PMO / EPMO design, Target Operating Model,
    • Process Redesign, and Maturity Assessment,
    • Capability Roadmap, End-to-End Technology Implementation,
    • Change Management, Data & Automation Enablement.
  • Consulting Background: At least 4+ years of external client-facing consulting experience, including managing client relationships at a large, multinational consulting firm
  • Life Sciences Experience: Relevant experience with SPM Solutions implementation methods/plans/approaches and tools usage, TMVR for Business Case/Case for Change, Value Planning and Realization in the value chain (KPIs, Metrics), Complex Program (Risk, Readiness, Integrated Planning)
  • People Leadership: Experience mentoring, developing talent, and managing direct reports.
  • Tooling: Hands-on with Planview/Clarity (or equivalent SPM/PPM), Jira or Azure DevOps, and MS Project/Primavera; able to guide Power BI/Tableau and advanced Excel reporting.
