Senior Manager - Technology Strategy and Digital Transformation

Job Purpose:
- EY is looking for an inspired, result oriented, and quality focused professional with strong consulting, architecture, and digital capabilities to lead and deliver Technology Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, AI enabled Platforms (including AI data centres), and Digital & AI Transformation initiatives for clients across the MENA region and industry sectors, and to actively grow the Technology Transformation team within Technology Consulting.
- The role requires the ability to represent EY as a trusted advisor, showcasing the firm’s deep capability and proven experience in IT & AI Strategy, Enterprise and Data Architecture, AI Governance, Responsible AI, Digital Platforms, and large scale transformation programmes.
- The candidate is expected to leverage EY’s global capabilities, alliances, hyperscale and AI ecosystem partnerships, external technology providers, and vendors to deliver best in class consulting services covering IT, Digital and AI strategy, AI ready enterprise architecture, AI platform and data centre strategy, and execution of end to end digital and AI transformation journeys.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Build and scale EY’s Technology Strategy, Digital Transformation, and AI Transformation capability, proactively engaging with EY practices, alliance partners, and clients.
- Plan and facilitate executive level workshops with Business, Digital, Data, and Technology leaders on IT Strategy, AI Strategy, Digital Transformation, AI Governance, and AI enabled operating models.
- Define and build enterprise wide roadmaps that break down silos and enable omni channel, data driven and AI enabled experiences for customers, citizens, employees, and ecosystem partners.
- Design IT and AI governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and operating models covering:
- IT, Digital and AI governance
- Responsible AI, model lifecycle governance, and AI risk management
- Data governance, AI data pipelines, and platform governance
- AI platforms, cloud, and AI data centre strategies
- Support and monitor effective implementation of IT and AI policies, standards, and controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory, ethical, and enterprise risk requirements.
- Provide awareness, adoption, and capability uplift for IT, Data, AI and Digital policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across client organisations.
- Advise IT and Digital leadership on strategic planning, AI investment prioritisation, budget management, and value realisation, from planning and governance perspectives.
- Anticipate and assess emerging technologies and AI trends, including GenAI, AI platforms, data centres, cloud AI convergence, and AI infrastructure, to position clients competitively.
- Provide strategic advice on future technology and AI investments as part of clients’ IT, Digital and AI Transformation agendas, focusing on business value, scalability, security, and sustainability.
- Conduct current state assessments across:
- Business and digital capabilities
- IT and AI operating models
- Enterprise applications and digital platforms
- Data, analytics, AI platforms, and AI infrastructure (including AI data centres)
- Cybersecurity, privacy, and AI risk controls
- Identify key IT and AI strengths, gaps, and risks across organisation structure, processes, governance, architecture, platforms, infrastructure, security, and AI maturity.
- Define the target technology and AI architecture landscape, spanning:
- Business and digital capabilities
- Applications and platforms
- Data, analytics and AI
- Infrastructure, cloud, edge, and AI data centre ecosystems
- Create integrated technology and AI transformation roadmaps aligned to business strategy, regulatory obligations, and long term value creation.
- Define technology and AI strategies, operating models, enterprise architectures, and transformation pipelines, covering short , medium , and long term horizons.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory landscapes, AI standards, and emerging technologies, translating them into practical, innovative client solutions.
- Interface effectively with onsite, offshore, client, vendor, hyperscale, and AI ecosystem stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure timely delivery of engagements within scope, time, and budget, supported by transparent status reporting to clients, managers, and leadership.
- Counsel, mentor, and manage teams, fostering high performance, diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning in IT, Digital, Data, and AI domains.
Skills and Qualifications
- BTech/MBA/MCA in a reputed institution with a sound industry/domain experience (preferably government/ public sector, Oil and Gas, BFSI) and relevant experience with 15-18 years.
- Sound understanding of Emerging Technologies
- Well versed with industry standards like COBIT 5, ITIL V4 & TOGAF
- Have experience in Big-4s, IT Industry Majors or Management Consulting firms in direct client consulting roles
- Experience in building IT Strategy, AI Strategy, IT Governance and Digital Transformation capabilities
- General understanding across all key domains of IT Service Management
- Possess excellent people interfacing, negotiation and management skills.
- Open to travelling to MENA region and work directly with EY clients on projects.
- Experience in creating and conducting impactful client presentations and articulate the technical and non-technical deliverables to clients at various levels starting from junior staff to CXO and Board
- Experience in running physical and virtual workshops independently and well versed with tools and technologies to enable the same.
- Experience in creating IT Policies & Procedures in line with Digital Enablement and/or Transformation
- Demonstrable professional technical writing expertise, visual representation and language skills.
- Experienced in strategy management and enterprise performance tools as well as productivity and diagramming tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Experience in working with clients in MENA GCC countries desirable.
- Membership in technology and industry bodies and online communities is desirable.
