Senior – Real Estate Hospitality & Tourism Valuation
We are looking for a Senior-level professional with expertise in Real Estate Hospitality & Tourism (RHT) Valuation to join EY-P’s Valuation Modeling & Economics sub-service line within Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) team. TCF department is a unique nexus between the corporate finance and the M&A transactions landscape, with a focus on Transaction Diligence, Valuation, Modeling & Economics, M&A Advisory and Real Estate Advisory. Your key responsibilities
- Lead RHT Valuation engagements primarily for financial reporting purposes, ensuring quality and timely delivery and high-quality results for all clients.
- Develop and maintain financial and valuation models using tools like MS Excel, while guiding junior staff in model creation and improvement.
- Participate in real estate advisory engagements, including financial analyses, cash flow modeling, property/portfolio modeling, analytical model reviews, market due diligence, asset valuations, real estate appraisals, and appraisal reviews.
- Conduct fair value assessments for various property types, including multi-family residential, office, retail, hotel, warehouse, industrial, mixed-use, infrastructure, and special-use properties.
- Contribute to report preparation, financial modeling, and identification of key issues, proposing solutions where necessary.
- Conduct market information research and market studies, analyze real estate documents, and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Utilize advanced tools and technologies or software to enhance the valuation process and ensure accuracy.
- Stay updated on current business, economic trends and sector outlook, incorporating relevant information into valuation models and client engagements.
- Supervise and collaborate with junior team members, mentoring and guiding them in modeling, analysis, and reporting tasks.
- Manage relationships with MENA stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of valuation results.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
- Take an active role in process improvement, suggesting strategies to optimize workflows and increase the efficiency of valuations and reporting.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A post graduate degree in Finance, Economics or CA / ACCA / CFA Charter holder or MBA – Finance from a reputed top tier B-School shall also be considered
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years direct experience in utilizing Valuation techniques and methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, market comparable etc. in a business valuation firm or practice or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, national valuation firm or experience working in a corporate finance role for an organization, preferably for M&A activities. Experience in financial modelling including experience building models from scratch in MS Excel and related software preferred.
- An innovative, dynamic, and outgoing personality. Memberships in professional associations like RICS would be a significant advantage.
- Background in real estate valuation, acquisition due diligence, asset management, finance, or market research.
- Ability to work across different areas, including M&A and Transaction Support.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with real estate databases and financial modeling is preferred.
