Job Summary:

As part of Enterprise Technology, the Intelligent Automation service’s sub-function provides enablement services business customers end to end automation services. The automation sub-function is responsible for the intake, development, configuration, support, governance and compliance of automation services with the firm’s IT processes including information security and technical standards. The role is accountable (a) to provide structure and guidance to define processes, procedures, best practices and standards required to execute the Core Business Services automation strategy and target operate model (b) oversee benefits realization (including costs) (c) 3rd party supplier relationship (c) continuous improvement of Operate Model working closely with both EY and 3rd party leadership to ensure alignment.

 

The Senior Microsoft RPA Developer will lead a diverse team of EY professionals and third-party vendor resources for the development and successful implementation and management of RPA solutions. This role is pivotal in overseeing the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of automation applications and infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft & ServiceNow automation & AI technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of RPA solutions into our DevOps pipeline, driving enhancements in operational efficiency and performance.

 

The ideal candidate will possess extensive software engineering experience, with a deep understanding of low-code/no-code platforms and Microsoft RPA tools. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and influencing skills are essential, along with proven leadership capabilities to guide enterprise technology initiatives. You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class automation services through a hybrid hosting strategy, leveraging the expertise of a dedicated DevOps team.

 


Essential Functions of the Job:

Solution Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Microsoft technologies (e.g., Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps) and ServiceNow RPA.  Create and maintain workflows, scripts, and integrations to automate business processes.

 

Integration: Integrate automation solutions with existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. Utilize APIs and connectors to link Microsoft and ServiceNow platforms with other enterprise applications.

 

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and IT staff, to gather requirements and understand business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and AI enhancements.

 

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of automation solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with business requirements. Implement best practices for code quality, version control, and documentation.

 

Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance of automation solutions and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal functionality and security.

 

Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and team members on automation tools and processes. Develop user documentation and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer.

 

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in automation, AI, and relevant technologies. Identify areas for improvement and propose enhancements to existing automation solutions.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Microsoft Technologies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Understanding of Azure services (Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and their integration capabilities.

 

ServiceNow Platform:

  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow RPA, Orchestration and Agentic capabilities and their functionalities.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) and workflows.

Job Requirements: 

Education:

  • A degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years in a Global IT environment working with multiple disciplines to deliver projects in line with customer needs
  • 3+ Years Global delivery or transformation preferably in large scale infrastructure programs
  • 3+ Years in a global operations environment
