Senior Associate – SL Support – Tax Qualitative Reviews (QR), GDS, RMS

This is a role that requires incumbent to own & execute a variety of global processes related to compliance monitoring of engagements across Service Lines on Legal & Regulatory requirements & EY Policy requirements. The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured & complex environment requiring out of the box thinking, logical reasoning, sound verbal & written communication skills, ability to make prompt yet well-informed decisions.
The Opportunity: The Senior Associate in SL Support Tax QR team would be required to:
- Develop subject matter expertise in RMS wide process & policies
- Identify & execute opportunities of process improvement & efficiency gains
- Continuously add value to assigned processes and develop solutions for situations that may not have been previously documented
- Take ownership of a variety of operational activities for seamless functioning of the process
- Provide feedback to the team members and help them move up the learning curve
- Manage conversations with clients and keep close checks on deliverables
- Drive behaviors, lead with examples and ensure excellent service delivery to the clients
Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence:
- Learn the core process including but not limited to QR engagement selections, set-up of engagements in EY tools, manage access of the Tax Quality network that enables them to perform review etc.
- Take a lead on strategic projects such as quarterly & annual reporting to the Global & Regional Tax Quality network, real-time reporting to the Global Tax Quality network on PPEDs’ performance
- Use analytical skills and project management methodology and tools to deliver on assigned projects
- Complete all projects in line with the standard operating procedures and within stipulated timelines
- Facilitate and drive the processes to completion
- Perform periodic review of team’s deliverables to evaluate completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness
- Flag issues / potential process related challenges at appropriate time so that timely action can be initiated
- Experience in reporting and preparing Dashboard on Power Bi and Excels will be an added advantage.
Client Management:
- Drive business development & scope expansion conversations with Global & Regional Tax Quality network
- Responsible for addressing & resolving service delivery issues / escalations
- Drives Quality control mechanism
- Manging the stakeholder’s requirements within the defined timelines and with utmost Quality.
People Management:
- Manage performance of the team members from setting goals to assessing performance against goals to providing performance feedback
- Manage and address potential conflicts amongst the team members
- Work cohesively with the team to address their issues/concerns and maintain a positive working environment
- Ensure adherence to work-flow protocol and tools
- Coordinate training schedules for new and existing members of the team
- Coach and mentor team members for professional development and recommends training requirements to address perceived gaps
- Identify training, learning & development opportunities for the team members
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Pledge for quality of output through internal review mechanisms
- Manage day-to-day administrative issues & communicate appropriately to the customers at GDS
- Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction measures / project critical success factors
Qualification Requirements
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree from a reputed institute
Professional Experience
- 4-5 years of professional experience
- Exposure of handling international customers/client interaction
- Experience in managing team
- Credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-driven environment
- Attention to detail and a solution oriented approach
- Flexibility to work in business season (if required)
Soft and Technical Skill
- Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Technical skills in reporting tools e.g., PowerBi etc.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence to drive process automation
