SAP Configuration Delivery Lead / Project Manager

Job Summary:

The SAP Configuration Delivery Lead / Project Manager will lead configuration efforts for the global SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and support programs for the EY SAP platform. The role combines SAP delivery leadership, program governance, solution design, data migration, and stakeholder management across geographically distributed teams to deliver controlled releases, reduced delivery risk, and business continuity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide executive-level delivery leadership for global SAP transformation programs from planning through deployment and steady-state support.
• Own delivery governance for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, RISE, testing, release management, cutover, and deployment readiness.
• Drive cross-functional execution across business, functional, technical, application support, infrastructure, and third-party teams to protect delivery quality and business continuity.

Key responsibilities include:

Project & Program Management

• Establish program structure, delivery cadence, governance routines, and decision forums for complex global SAP initiatives.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery commitments to support successful outcomes.
• Escalate key risks, resolve delivery blockers, and align decisions across business and technology stakeholders.

SAP Delivery Leadership

• Lead functional delivery for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and RISE transformation initiatives.
• Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing, production cutover, defect management, quality assurance, and release governance.
• Oversee retrofit activities, code synchronization, landscape coordination, and deployment readiness.

Business Process & Solution Design

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions aligned with global business templates.
• Drive solution architecture, process harmonization, and business process improvement across Order-to-Cash, Billing, Commercial Project Management, and Customer Relationship Management domains.

Data Migration & Systems Integration

• Be a thought leader on data migration strategy and execution for master and transactional data.
• Coordinate data cleansing, validation, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
• Guide integration design across SAP Integration Suite, APIs, IDocs, SAP BTP, Clean Core, side-by-side extensions, and compliance-related capabilities.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Engage executive leadership, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams across multiple countries and time zones.
• Lead geographically distributed teams, facilitate issue resolution and change management, and coordinate delivery across matrixed environments.
• Mentor consultants and develop effective project teams through clear direction, knowledge sharing, and delivery discipline.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

The role requires sound judgment across delivery scope, schedule, budget, risk, testing, cutover, data migration, integration, and stakeholder decisions. The candidate will evaluate cross-functional trade-offs, facilitate timely decisions, and resolve issues in a global, matrixed SAP environment while protecting release quality, service stability, and business outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• 15+ years of SAP technical experience, including 5+ years in architecture or leadership roles.
• Strong command of SAP delivery methods, governance routines, risk controls, testing models, release practices, and global rollout execution.

Supervision Responsibilities:

The role will lead geographically distributed delivery teams across countries and time zones, providing clear direction, mentoring consultants, resolving blockers, and building disciplined project teams.

To qualify, candidates must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of SAP technical experience, including 5+ years in architecture or leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering full-cycle SAP implementations, migrations, production cutovers, and global rollouts.
• Experience leading SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and RISE delivery across testing, release governance, cutover, and deployment readiness.
• Ability to influence executive leadership, business stakeholders, global delivery teams, and third-party providers in a matrixed environment.
• Preferred certifications include ABAP on Cloud Backend Developer, SAP CPI Integration Developer, and SAP Signavio Process Management Consultant.
