This is a role that requires incumbent to own & execute a variety of global processes related to compliance monitoring of engagements across Service Lines on Legal & Regulatory requirements & EY Policy requirements. The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured & complex environment requiring out of the box thinking, logical reasoning, sound verbal & written communication skills, and the ability to make prompt yet well-informed decisions.

 

The opportunity

 

Global Compliance Engagement Testing (GCET) supports Global Risk Management in conducting compliance testing across Service Lines. GCET program is an internal EY review process which includes selecting engagements of the PPEDs to test them on Legal & Regulatory compliances & internal EY policy compliances and providing feedback & ratings to the PPEDs based on the outcome of their review. The team also provides analytical reports consisting of outcome of compliance testing to Global, Area and Region stakeholders.

Accordingly, we are looking for a Senior Associate who shall be responsible for timely execution of compliance testing processes including conducting research and analysis to identify any potential non-compliance with policy/guidance or any potential regulatory breaches. The person should also be required to assist in other process-related requirements.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Technical expertise

  •   Conduct research using systematic and intuitive secondary research techniques to support compliance objectives.
  •   Analyse research findings, draw inferences, and provide conclusions aligned with compliance requirements.
  •   Apply analytical and project management methodologies and tools to ensure process efficiency.
  •   Complete assigned projects and tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and agreed timelines.
  •   Facilitate and drive compliance processes to successful completion.
  •   Perform periodic reviews of team deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards.
  •   Identify and escalate issues or potential challenges promptly to enable timely corrective action.
  •   Develop subject matter expertise in compliance processes, policies, and risk management frameworks.
  •   Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within compliance operations.
  •   Continuously add value by developing solutions for scenarios not previously documented.
  •   Take ownership of operational activities to ensure seamless functioning of compliance processes.

 

Stakeholder Management:

  •   Collaborate with global, area, and regional stakeholders to align compliance processes and reporting standards.
  •   Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates clearly and professionally.

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

Education: Post-graduate or equivalent degree from a reputed institution. 

Language: Strong command of English; additional languages are a plus.

 

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years in compliance, audit, or risk management roles, with prior experience in team supervision or mentoring.
  • Research and compliance processes
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Working in dynamic, client-focused environments
  • Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI preferred).

 

Technical & Domain Knowledge:

 

  •   Strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  •   Familiarity with audit and assurance processes, engagement lifecycle, and risk management principles.
  •   Ability to perform detailed compliance testing and accurately document findings.
  •   Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Power BI and Excel.
  •   Knowledge of documentation standards and quality review processes.
  •   Preferred certifications in global compliance and risk (e.g., CCEP, CRCMP, ISO Compliance, Risk Management, or similar).
  •   Well-versed in global compliance standards and frameworks.
  •   Experience in leading automation initiatives, implementing AI-driven solutions, and driving efficiency improvement projects.
  •   Awareness of AI technologies, tools, and best practices for process optimization and compliance monitoring.

 

People Management:

 

  • Provide coaching and feedback to enhance team performance and technical knowledge.
  • Supervise and guide junior team members in day-to-day tasks and quality reviews.
  • Assist in resource planning and workload allocation within the team.

 

Technologies and Tools

 

Experience in MS office suites like Microsoft 365, MS excel, PowerPoint and Business analytics tool like Power-BI
