Senior Manager – Learning And Development (People Consulting)

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Manager – Learning & Development to lead the design, delivery, and scaling of impactful learning solutions across transformation programs. This role blends consulting expertise, instructional design, digital innovation, and stakeholder engagement to drive capability uplift and performance improvement. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in adult learning, blended delivery, and digital learning tools, with a strong consulting mindset and leadership presence.

 

Key Responsibilities

Learning Strategy And Design

  • Lead end-to-end execution of learning programs for system implementations, capability development, and process transformation.
  • Conduct Learning Needs Analysis (LNA), develop learner personas, and design curricula aligned with business goals.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) to build scalable, outcome-driven learning journeys.
  • Champion AI-powered learning, microlearning, and personalized digital journeys to enhance learner engagement.
  • Design and implement blended learning models using VILTs, WBTs, guided tours, job aids, simulations, and gamified experiences.
  • Plan, execute, and operationalize learning programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and a positive learner experience.
  • Oversee training deployment, logistics, and post-course sustainment, including participant feedback and knowledge assessments.

 

Digital Learning And Innovation

  • Lead the creation of eLearning modules, application simulations, and sandbox-based training for digital adoption.
  • Utilize tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Gomo Learning, Vyond, and Adobe Suite.
  • Manage LMS/LXP platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, SharePoint) including course setup, content hosting, instructor assignment, and reporting.
  • Drive innovation through byte-sized videos, animations, gamification, and interactive learning formats.
  • Blended learning, guided tours, byte-size videos, animations, simulations & gamification.

 

Delivery And Implementation

  • Lead the training workstream for large-scale ERP/CRM rollouts (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Facilitate Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs and capability workshops for diverse business and technical audiences.
  • Oversee training logistics, deployment, and post-course sustainment including feedback analysis and knowledge assessments.

 

Stakeholder Engagement And Consulting

  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating transformation goals into practical learning interventions.
  • Support pre-sales efforts, including proposal development, solutioning, and client presentations.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for L&D initiatives.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SME), and peers.
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and instructor-led programs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Engage in pursuits and proposal development for L&D and training requirements.
  • Manage costs and budgets for L&D projects.

 

Skills And Attributes for Success

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning modalities.
  • Proven experience in consulting or professional services, managing large-scale L&D projects.
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools, LMS/LXP platforms, and content creation software.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and client engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in L&D, Education, Organizational Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10–12 years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a consulting or advisory role.
  • Advanced knowledge of instructional design, project management, and capability development.
  • Experience designing and delivering training for system implementations and digital transformation programs.

 

Preferred Certifications

  • Instructional Design or Learning Strategy Certifications
  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP)
  • Agile or Scrum Certifications (a plus)
