Lab Design and Delivery Lead - Lab Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY

Lab design and delivery specialist. Ensures the Lab reflects the production office environment. Designs infrastructure to provide a validation platform for Secure, Print, Lockers, AV, and Spaces and Services.

Your key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design, delivery and operational readiness of a representative enterprise technology lab environment.
• Define lab architecture, connectivity, identity, device-management, monitoring, security and environmental requirements that align with production patterns.
• Build validation capabilities across Secure, Print, Lockers, AV, and Spaces and Services solutions.
• Establish lab governance, access controls, asset inventory, configuration baselines, change control and safety practices.
• Plan capacity, budget, procurement and vendor activities for lab infrastructure, devices, licenses and support.
• Develop test environments and release-validation processes for software, firmware, configuration and product changes.
• Coordinate with product owners, engineering, security, network, workplace and operations teams to maintain production relevance.
• Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, documentation and continuous improvement for lab services.
• Guide and prioritize the work of lab technicians and specialist contributors.

Skills and attributes for success

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience designing and operating enterprise technology labs, test environments or complex AV infrastructure.
• Proven planning, delivery, supplier-management and technical-leadership capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, stakeholder management and risk-management skills.
• Strong customer orientation with the ability to balance production fidelity, security, cost and delivery priorities.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Enterprise AV systems design, integration and support.
• Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows and Android, including deployment, configuration and lifecycle management.
• Azure Administration knowledge aligned to AZ-104 concepts.
• Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Intune and Autopilot provisioning.
• Network fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, SNMP and secure remote access.
• Monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and AV management platforms.
• PowerShell automation for repeatable provisioning, inventory and validation tasks.
• Test planning, configuration management, asset management, technical documentation and change control.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Azure Automation, Functions, Logic Apps, Microsoft Graph API and Power Automate.
• Power BI for lab utilization, inventory, quality and validation reporting.
• Practical knowledge of secure print, smart lockers, workplace spaces and related building technology.
• AV industry certifications such as CTS or relevant Crestron credentials.
• ServiceNow integration and workflow automation.
• Experience with vendor qualification, procurement, budgeting and facilities coordination.
