The opportunity

  • The IT Hardware Asset Manager role is expected to significantly contribute to the following:
  • Achieving and maintaining data quality
  • The efficient and effective implementation, management and maintenance of lifecycle procedures, reporting, and analysis for HW assets

Identifying opportunities for cost savings/avoidance, risk reduction, and operational excellence

 

Your key responsibilities

Experience/Skill requirements

  • 8 -12 years’ experience, with 3 years relevant experience in a HAM role with proven success in maintaining and improving data quality and process compliance
  • Very strong experience with asset management and discovery tools (preferably ServiceNow)
  • Excellent collaboration skills, as well as very strong relationship building acumen with leaders and teams
  • Proven success with developing and improving compliance metrics
  • Experience in working with a CMDB
  • Knowledge of the Configuration Management process
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills desired
  • Experience with working in a global, virtual environment
  • Proficiency with Alteryx a plus
  • Proficiency with Power BI a plus
  • Experience with improving HAM procedures/reports through digital solutions (e.g., RPA, AI/ML) a plus
  • Proficient English language skills (oral and written)
  • Project management skills

Analytical/Decision making responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing data and identifying opportunities for cost savings/avoidance, risk mitigation, and process improvement
  • Identify solutions to achieve/maintain data quality, and compliance with HW asset lifecycle procedures
  • Excellent judgment, tact, and decision-making ability 
  • Decisions influence the success of projects and team objectives

Supervision responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include demonstrating leadership capabilities such as accountability, positivity, humility, resilience, and subject matter expertise
  • Act as an escalation point for staff issues


To qualify for the role you must have

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Business Management or equivalent

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) – IAITAM
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) - IAITAM
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Services Certification
