Position: Graphics Designer – Senior Associate

Education: Any Graduate

Experience: 5 – 8 years of relevant experience

 

The Opportunity

This position will support the design and development of engaging visual content for eLearning modules and other digital learning materials. The Graphics Designer will work to agreed design quality standards and processes, using approved templates and tools, and will collaborate with other designers and learning professionals to enhance the quality and effectiveness of visual learning solutions. Additionally, the designer will develop and maintain strong relationships with content owners, Subject Matter Reviewers (SMRs), and other stakeholders.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Proficiently create and customize eLearning modules using development tools, implementing interactive elements and assessments.
  • Independently produce high-quality graphic designs and layouts, mentoring junior designers in the process.
  • Manage LMS content areas, troubleshooting issues and providing user support while mentoring others in LMS usage.
  • Design and implement interactive elements for eLearning modules, creating complex interactive experiences.
  • Produce animations and videos, including storyboarding, editing, and post-production, contributing to creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Create a wide range of visual assets, including complex graphics and illustrations, guiding junior designers in asset production.
  • Design sophisticated typographic and layout solutions, setting benchmarks for quality and brand compliance.
  • Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards, advocating for inclusive design practices and mentoring others in best practices.
  • Design and implement gamification strategies within eLearning modules to enhance engagement and learning retention.
  • Craft compelling visual narratives that align with project messages and goals, developing storyboards and providing creative direction.
  • Apply design principles to enhance project outcomes, mentoring junior designers in effective design practices.
  • Communicate design ideas clearly, gathering feedback effectively and engaging in collaborative discussions.
  • Translate complex storyboards into detailed visual designs that enhance learning, providing guidance to junior designers.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews, ensuring visual consistency and functionality of eLearning materials.
  • Audit design work for brand compliance, mentoring junior designers on adherence to brand standards.
  • Facilitate effective teamwork by coordinating tasks and supporting team members, taking a proactive role in projects.
  • Adapt designs in response to feedback and evolving project requirements, proactively seeking solutions to design challenges.
  • Build strong relationships with SMRs and project teams, effectively gathering requirements and incorporating feedback.
  • Provide mentorship to junior designers, leading by example in design projects and supporting their professional development.
  • Foresee and proactively deal with challenges in projects

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in graphic design and eLearning development.
  • Advanced proficiency with graphic design software and eLearning development tools which must include:
    • Articulate Rise & Storyline 360
    • MS Word, PowerPoint, and whiteboarding applications (ie Miro/Mural/MS Whiteboard)
    • Videos
    • Adobe (iPDFs/Flipbooks)
  • A foundational understanding of LMS platforms and content management.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with business customers/clients.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, stressful environments to deliver required results.
