Role Title: GDS Industry Alliances Operations Strategist

The Opportunity

EY GDS Growth & Innovation enables EY’s strategic ecosystem relationships, market activation priorities and alliance-led growth programs. Within this context, the Industry Alliances portfolio requires a senior operations leadership layer that can connect alliance priorities, governance structures, commercial execution, investment oversight, leadership reporting and multi-geo delivery into a disciplined operating model.

The GDS Industry Alliances Operations is a Associate Director-level role based in GDS Argentina, responsible for defining and driving governance, business management, execution strategy, performance management and operational excellence across EY’s Industry Alliances portfolio. The role acts as the operational counterpart to alliance leadership, translating strategic priorities into scalable operating models, measurable business outcomes and disciplined execution across alliance programs, commercialization initiatives and growth investments.

This role combines strategic thinking, business management, program leadership and stakeholder influence to strengthen alliance execution, improve commercial readiness, enhance leadership visibility and build predictable operating control across a complex, global ecosystem of alliance, GTM, finance, operations and delivery stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own the overall operating model, governance framework and business management processes for the Industry Alliances organization.
  • Lead strategic planning, operational execution and performance management activities across multiple alliance workstreams and growth initiatives.
  • Design and drive executive governance forums, business reviews, steering committees and alliance leadership cadences.
  • Develop and maintain alliance scorecards, KPI frameworks, investment reporting, business performance dashboards and executive insight packs.
  • Partner with alliance leadership to translate strategic priorities into operating plans, measurable outcomes and execution roadmaps.
  • Drive portfolio-level governance across resources, investments, initiatives, risks, dependencies and strategic programs.
  • Lead operating reviews covering growth performance, commercialization execution, alliance health, investment effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Provide executive-level recommendations and business insights that support decision-making and alliance strategy execution.
  • Build scalable operating structures, governance mechanisms and controls that improve accountability, execution discipline and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead operational transformation initiatives that improve reporting quality, process maturity, automation and business visibility.
  • Oversee cross-functional execution involving alliance teams, GTM, finance, delivery, marketing, business development and operations stakeholders.
  • Establish and monitor organizational KPIs, performance metrics and operational success measures across the Industry Alliances portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on governance effectiveness, operational scalability and leadership decision support.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives, investments and alliance priorities are executed with rigor, transparency and measurable business impact.
  • Coach and guide matrixed contributors across operations, reporting, PMO and governance support to clarify priorities, improve quality and maintain delivery discipline.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong leadership experience in alliance operations, business management, PMO, commercialization, governance or strategic execution environments.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and align diverse stakeholder groups around shared business objectives and execution priorities.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, business management disciplines, operating models and operational leadership practices.
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling and leadership presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear decision-ready narratives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to navigate ambiguity, organizational complexity, competing priorities and cross-geo dependencies.
  • Experience driving large-scale transformation, operational improvement, reporting modernization and process simplification programs.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with understanding of investment management, resource planning, performance tracking and business outcome measurement.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable operating models that support growth, governance maturity and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strong execution discipline, stakeholder alignment and measurable progress.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to derive actionable business insights from complex data, operating metrics and stakeholder inputs.
  • Comfort with approved AI, automation and productivity tools to strengthen reporting, meeting summarization, insight generation and operational efficiency.
  • Strong people leadership and matrix management capabilities, including coaching, workload balancing, quality oversight and capability building.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • University degree required; qualification in business administration, finance, operations, engineering, management, commerce or a related discipline preferred.
  • MBA, postgraduate qualification or equivalent certification in business management, project management, analytics, process improvement, automation or technology would be an advantage.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in alliance operations, strategic planning, PMO leadership, business operations, commercialization, governance, reporting, finance or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale global programs and cross-functional operational organizations in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and leadership teams on strategic initiatives, operational governance, performance management and decision support.
  • Strong experience in business performance management, executive reporting, investment governance, operating cadences and organizational planning.
  • Advanced proficiency across Microsoft 365, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration platforms and business intelligence or reporting tools.
  • Ability to work flexibly across priorities, stakeholder groups, global time zones and business requirements, based on assignment needs.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience supporting strategic alliance ecosystems, technology partnerships, industry alliance programs or large-scale partner organizations.
  • Understanding of alliance commercialization, co-sell programs, partner investments, growth strategy execution and GTM operating models.

  • CRM, pipeline, alliance management, investment tracking, campaign, marketplace, deal registration, certification, incentive, funding or business performance platforms.
  • Data visualization, governance and productivity tools for KPI scorecards, executive reporting, workflow notifications, version control, knowledge management, SLA tracking, quality checks and audit-ready evidence.
  • AI, analytics and automation tools that support data cleaning, summarization, variance explanation, trend analysis, anomaly detection, workflow automation, reporting accelerators and leadership-ready commentary.
