Position Summary
Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Accounting and Regulatory Support for Accounting Change and Special Matters, Accounting Processes and Controls Support.
We are seeking a seasoned Non-Financial Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic team at EY. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in non-financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on ISSB standards (IFRS S1and IFRS S2)/ESRS/EU taxonomy reporting engagements. This role requires a professional who is adept at handling team of experienced professionals, working with various geographies, managing stakeholder expectations, using leading reporting tools and possesses exceptional presentation and executive reporting drafting skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct scoping analysis, understand the implications of double materiality assessments/materiality assessments conducted as per ISSB/ESRS, conduct gap assessments, process and control evaluations for non-financial reporting frameworks, prepare ISSB/ESRS implementation roadmaps for clients and draft reports for IFRS S1 and IFRS S2/ESRS/EU taxonomy reporting engagements.
- Ability to Utilize and proven track record of using non-financial reporting tools such as Workiva, Tagetik, or other leading platforms to deliver high-quality reports.
- Collaborate with onshore teams to ensure the quality and accuracy of non-financial reporting engagement delivery throughout the entire engagement lifecycle, from pursuits to final delivery.
- Manage and mentor a team of experienced professionals, reviewing their work and ensuring compliance with the firm's quality standards.
- Present findings and reports to executive-level stakeholders, demonstrating clear and effective communication skills.
- Quantify accounting implications of reporting in accordance with IFRS S1, IFRS S2, and ESRSs, providing expert knowledge and guidance.
- Generate innovative ideas to develop the non-financial reporting practice further.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices in non-financial reporting frameworks.
Qualifications, skills and experience
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g, CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-financial reporting, with a focus on IFRS S1 and IFRS S2/ESRS/EU taxonomy.
- Proficiency in non-financial reporting tools such as Workiva, Tagetik, or similar platforms.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to draft executive-level reports.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen.
- Experience in managing teams and delivering projects that meet or exceed quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to quantify the accounting implications of non-financial reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients)
