EY-Process & Controls– Risk Consulting –ESG Risk Senior

The opportunity

EY is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Senior Consultant with expertise in ESG risk management. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our Risk Consulting team, delivering innovative ESG risk solutions to our diverse client base. This position will be based out of our offices (Kochi/ Thiruvananthapuram) in the beautiful state of Kerala.

Your key responsibilities

• As part of the role, the candidate is expected to: 
• Lead ESG risk assessment and management projects for clients across various sectors.
• Develop and implement ESG strategies and policies to enhance clients' sustainability performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on ESG-related risks and opportunities.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations and project timelines.
• Contribute to the development of thought leadership and ESG risk methodologies.
• Engage in mentoring and coaching junior team members to build their ESG risk competencies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and expertise.
• Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals.
• Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.
• Maintain excellent rapport and proactive communication with the client
• Manage the engagement budgets and support superiors in developing marketing collaterals, business proposals and new solution / methodology development

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications related to sustainability or ESG are preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in ESG risk management or sustainability consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in sustainability reporting standards and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in English and adeptness with MS Office, data analysis tools, and sustainability reporting software.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements and business development.
