EY GDS – Data and Analytics – Senior- Data Governance
As part of our EY-GDS D&A (Data and Analytics) team, we help our clients solve complex business challenges with the help of data and technology. We dive deep into data to extract the greatest value and discover opportunities in sectors like Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Government Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a Project Delivery expert with experience and strong technology and data understanding of Enterprise data ecosystem and it’s governance model. Candidate should be proficient in defining strategy to ensure adherence to related policy and standards. Your key responsibilities
- Be part of a team of Engineers and Architects and provide leadership in creating prototypes, conduct proofs of concepts, evaluate options with pros and cons and provide recommendations through design, development and/or Operations of complex technology environments with Data Governance Strategy & toolsets.
- Participate in Solutioning team to partner with client in work efforts, provide data management experience, including an understanding of concepts, practices, procedures, and tools providing strong analytical, innovative and creative problem-solving to the Customer needs.
- Work in a blended team with business and technical resources, responding to requirements with concrete designs and implementing those designs.
- Participate in training and workshop sessions for business and technology partners covering enterprise data governance, Data management, Metadata management, Data quality, standards, guidelines, and processes.
- Provide guidance on data entry protocols to upstream system owners as it relates to impacts to downstream data consumers.
Skills and attributes for success
- Should have managed & Delivered Large Scale Enterprise Data Management & Governance projects.
- Assisted in establishing guidelines and protocols for effectively managing the data assets with the data stewards.
- Experience in Data quality tools, including data profiling, cleansing, standardization, and identity resolution.
- Well versed with Data domains, Metadata extraction and data integration on wide range of resources and toolsets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
To qualify for the role, you must:
- Be an Engineering graduate or equivalent with 3 - 7 years of industry experience.
- Must have 3 – 7 years of a hands-on developer/designer experience as well as experience working with industry’s popular Data Quality and Data Governance tools/products.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems at scale.
- Must have good understanding of Data Privacy and Security measures. Understanding General Data protection and Regulations across different geographical locations.
- Able to Define, develop and maintain data quality policies & protocols. Produce data quality metrics including usage audits, compliance/risk audits.
- Partner with IT Quality Assurance (QA) teams to create UAT test plans, design test cases, and manage testing project schedule
- Have a flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
- Lead a Team of Data Engineers to develop and deliver the Data Management solutions to the Customer.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences including senior executives, business, architecture governance bodies and IT delivery Ability to work globally and across cultures
- Participate in all aspects of Data solution delivery life cycle including pre-studies, analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support.
