EY GDS - Data and Analytics – Snowflake Data Engineer

The opportunity
We’re looking for a candidate with overall 3 – 5 years of experience and he/she should have strong expertise into cloud data engineering using Snowflake.
Key skills required for the role (Primary):
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures in Snowflake.
- Assist in data migration and conversion projects using SnowConvert.
- Work with Cortex for advanced analytics and data processing tasks.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL queries and Snowflake environments.
- Document processes, queries, and best practices for future reference.
- Utilize Python for scripting, automation, and data processing tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of experience in SQL development and data engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
- Prior experience with SnowConvert for code conversion and migration.
- Strong knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of Snowflake architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake Certified (SnowPro Core or Advanced) – added advantage.
- Familiarity with Cortex for data analytics and processing – added advantage.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration processes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of data modeling and performance tuning in Snowflake.
