EY Business Consulting – Supply Chain Domain - Enterprise Asset Management - Senior Consultant
At EY, our objective is to help clients improve the performance and productivity of their Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O). With expertise in leading Enterprise Asset Management frameworks, you will help clients to effectively manage both the physical and non-physical assets through the entire lifecycle, maximising performance and productivity whilst reducing the total cost of operations / ownership.
The client base spans across industries and includes multinational companies in oil & gas, power & utilities, government, banking, consumer goods & retail, manufacturing etc.
The opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Senior Consultant with expertise in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) to join the group within our Business Consulting sub-service line and work with clients and project teams in EAM engagements. The role focuses on asset centric transformation covering governance, lifecycle strategy, performance optimization, and digital enablement—helping clients maximize asset value, optimize TOTEX, improve reliability, and strengthen decision-making across the asset lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will be part of a team of professionals with extensive consulting and industry experience. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will create innovative insights for clients, bringing software / digital solutions and strategies to optimise their asset management capabilities and sustain performance improvement. As an influential member of the team, you will help create a positive learning culture; coach, counsel, and nurture junior team members.
An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships. Travel may be required based on business/client requirement.
Typically, you will work across below EAM service offerings:
Governance and Assurance
- Design Asset Governance frameworks and Target Operating Models aligned to business strategy and regulatory requirements
- Conduct ISO 55001 alignment assessments and EAM maturity diagnostics
- Develop risk, control, and performance assurance frameworks across asset lifecycle processes
- Integrate ESG considerations into asset strategies, governance models, and performance reporting
Lifecycle Strategy And TOTEX Optimization
- Develop Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMPs) and assetclasslevel AM plans
- Design and document EAM processes, policies, and procedures across the endtoend asset lifecycle
- Support asset investment planning, prioritization, and portfolio optimization
- Define value frameworks and TOTEX optimization approaches linking Capex, Opex, risk, and performance
- Support asset decommissioning strategies and transition planning
Asset Performance And Reliability
- Deliver asset performance optimization and reliability improvement initiatives
- Design and improve maintenance management and reliability engineering frameworks
- Support work management transformation, including planning, scheduling, and execution optimization
- Optimize asset spares and inventory strategies to balance availability, cost, and risk
Asset Intelligence And Decision Enablement
- Define asset data and information management strategies, including data governance and quality
- Develop decisionsupport frameworks and AIreadiness roadmaps for EAM and assetintensive operations
- Support selection, assessment, and optimization of EAM systems (e.g., SAP EAM, IBM Maximo, Infor, Oracle)
- Drive IoT and sensorization use cases for condition monitoring and predictive insights
- Support implementation of digital twins and BIMenabled asset management solutions
Your consulting and delivery responsibilities will be including and not limited to below:
- Work closely with MENA clients to translate business and asset management challenges into practical, scalable EAM solutions
- Lead and contribute to client workshops, diagnostics, and design sessions
- Deliver high‑quality consulting outputs aligned to EY quality and delivery standards
- Support business development and proposal efforts aligned to established EAM offerings
- Coach junior team members and contribute to capability building within the EAM practice
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong EAM domain knowledge across governance, lifecycle management, maintenance, and performance
- Experience working across assetintensive industries (Oil & Gas, Utilities, Transport, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Understanding of ISO 55001, ESG, and riskbased asset management concepts
- Exposure to AI, analytics, IoT, digital twins, and emerging asset technologies
- Structured problemsolving, clientfacing communication, and stakeholdermanagement skills
- Ability to translate strategy into operable processes, frameworks, and systems
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 4–8 years of experience in Enterprise Asset Management, Assetintensive Operations, or related consulting roles
- Consulting experience in asset performance improvement, governance, cost optimization, or process design
- Exposure to EAM systems (SAP EAM, IBM Maximo, Infor, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience developing process documentation, frameworks, and maturity assessments
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management
- Willingness to travel onsite for client assignments, if required
- Willingness to work Sunday to Thursday and support MENA region’s client timings
Ideally, you should also have
- Project management skills
- Customer handling, Report writing, Strong interpersonal communication skills, and experience in usage of analytical tools/ representations
- Certification / working knowledge in ISO 55001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, KAIZEN as an added/preferred advantage
