Job Title: EY- Assurance –Senior- FAAS – IT
As part of the EY Assurance team, the Senior professional will provide specialised technology support for FAAS risk solutions. The role will support FAAS Senior Managers, Managers and leadership across the Americas and EMEIA by helping design, build and deploy digital solutions that enable accounting, reporting and financial risk processes. The Senior will work hands on with data sizing, automation tools and core IT technologies to operationalise accounting and risk requirements..
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior professional who will be responsible for delivering high quality work in line with project timelines and technical requirements. The role requires strong domain expertise in IFRS and Financial Risk, along with hands on experience in IT consulting. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of IFRS 9 ECL and experience implementing AI and non AI enabled digital risk solutions. The Senior resource will play a key role in solution design and support the deployment of technology enabled risk and accounting frameworks across engagements.
Your key responsibilities
- Support the design and build of digital solutions for IFRS 9 ECL and financial risk use cases.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows and data models to enable risk and accounting analytics.
- Perform data profiling, data quality checks and source to target mapping for risk and finance systems.
- Execute system configuration, integration testing and model validation for credit risk and ECL solutions.
- Implement and support AI/ML enabled risk analytics, including scenario testing and model performance monitoring.
- Build dashboards and reporting assets using modern BI tools to operationalize risk and accounting insights.
- Collaborate with cross functional and global teams to ensure alignment with EY methodologies, technical standards, and quality expectations.
- Prepare technical documentation and engineering artefacts to support delivery and audit readiness.
Skills and attributes for success
- Understanding of IFRS 9 ECL and risk modelling.
- Hands on skills in data engineering (ETL/ELT, data modelling, data quality, SQL, Python, R).
- Ability to translate accounting and risk requirements into system, data and workflow specifications.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to conduct detailed data analysis and validation.
- Strong business acumen with the capability to support digital transformation in risk and accounting.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical findings to both technical and non technical stakeholders
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Hands on experience with .NET, Angular, Web API and modern application development.
- Strong skills in R, Apache Spark, Machine Learning Server, and data driven analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL Server (SSIS, SQL Jobs) and PostgreSQL for data engineering and database management.
- Ability to design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, and scalable technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaboration skills in a multi regional project environment.
Qualifications, Certifications and Education – Must-have
- B tech (Information technology or a related field) with at least 13-15 years of related work experience
- Complete, end-to-end understanding of credit risk solution development and implementation for the banking book portfolio.
- Knowledge of Credit Risk and Risk Analytics techniques is desirable.
- Machine Learning models and its applications.
- Oracle / SQL certification is desirable
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience with banking clients
- Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
- Knowledge on any Data analytics/visualisation tools will be additional advantage.
- Strong communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach
