The opportunity

We are looking for a person to join as a Supervisory Associate to work closely with the Executive team who are leading on the strategic initiative EY EMEIA Centre for Board Matters (CBM). 

 

About the Center for Board Matters:

The EMEIA Center for Board Matters (CBM) provides thought leadership for board members on governance trends, board priorities, regulatory developments, and other board-related matters. We focus on 3 Cs:

  • Content: we provide insights and materials to support discussions with boards
  • Connections: we help connect client teams to EY colleagues who can support boards directly, e.g. Risk, Cyber, Remuneration, Forensics etc
  • Coordination:  we signpost opportunities and content to local CBM programs

This individual we are looking for will be responsible for working closely with this program team, to deliver the key ambitions and initiatives outlined for the EMEIA CBM program. This would primarily involve assisting the team with project management requests, ensuring that the smooth progress of the projects and are in line with the strategy for the program, including the new to be developed audit committee program (currently in the design phase). This will include managing the program’s internal stakeholders, assisting with thought leadership production and helping with development and execution of marketing plans. This would be further supplemented by performing other ad-hoc activities needed for the program delivery. The role also entails the responsibility of identifying and implementing automation opportunities to enable best-in-class program delivery.

 

The role requires having an exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple projects by understanding prioritization. Since the role is meant for supporting teams within UK/NL the applicant must be open to working in fixed shifts.

 

Key responsibilities overview

  • Support leadership in executing the program’s strategy and deploying the operational activities necessary to achieve the practice’s annual priorities.
  • Facilitate and coordinate team meetings and partner connections, including tracking and monitoring action items to ensure timely completion and providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Assist with event management by working with the regional CBM programs on the invitation process, tracking attendance, creating profiles, drafting social media messages to promote events, and managing post-event engagement and benchmarking reports.
  • Provide support with management of internal and external network communications across all deployed platforms and channels.
  • End to end program management for the programs being supported, including the new audit committee program.
  • Coordinate the production of thought leadership materials by managing copy development, liaising with GDS for initial drafts, and organizing stakeholder reviews.
  • Contribute to process standardization and identify opportunities for automation to enhance program delivery.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduate / Post-graduate [MBA preferred] with relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with Audience centric programs, BoardEx, Mercury, Marketo, SharePoint and its functioning is strong plus point
  • The ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and prioritize effectively
  • Experience of working in large/matrix organizations, balancing multiple stakeholder requirements
  • A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and supporting process improvements and demonstrating best practice 
  • Collaborate virtually (with geographically disbursed stakeholders)
  • Content management – Familiar with maintenance of sites, newsletter, surveys etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Confidence, maturity & ability to build strong client relationships
  • Proactive – To provide suggestions and solutions, generating ideas, learning and upskilling, identifying opportunities to expand scope
  • Quick learner - Ability to grasp or quickly understand the process, objectives / intricacies of projects and move to delivery mode in a short span
  • Attention to detail - Making sure the deliveries are error free, giving utmost importance to detailing, formatting & following EY prescribed guidelines.
  • Adaptability - Understand needs and be able to align expectations with the stakeholder
