Position Description Summary

Position Details: 

Job Title   :             BI – Supervising Associate

Department  :             EDS

 

Job purpose

As a Senior Supervising Associate, you will own end‑to‑end delivery of Power BI analytics solutions, from requirement definition to production deployment. The role is hands‑on and requires deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, and T‑SQL, with accountability for data modeling, performance optimization, and reporting accuracy. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data engineering teams, lead post‑deployment enhancements, and act as the technical authority for enterprise BI solutions.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise‑grade Power BI dashboards and datasets
  • Build and optimize advanced DAX measures, including complex business logic and time intelligence
  • Write and optimize T‑SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for analytical workloads
  • Define and implement analytical data models and semantic layers in collaboration with data engineers
  • Own Power BI performance tuning, governance, and best practices
  • Lead production releases, enhancements, and long‑term maintenance of BI solutions
  • Validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Identify data, logic, and performance issues and drive corrective actions
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical direction
  • Support Power Apps and Power Automate initiatives as a good‑to‑have, where they complement BI solutions
  • Create concise technical documentation and solution design artifacts

 

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence
  • Strong hands‑on experience in Power BI design, development, and deployment
  • Expert‑level DAX skills with proven performance optimization experience
  • Strong T‑SQL programming capability for analytical and reporting use cases
  • Solid understanding of data modeling (star schema, analytical models)
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions
  • Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

 

Ideally, also have

  • Working knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience with enterprise relational databases
  • Microsoft certifications in Power BI / Data Analytics / Power Platform
  • Experience defining reusable BI patterns and deployment standards
