Data Management and Governance Senior Consultant

The Senior Consultant for Data Management and Data Governance at EY is responsible for providing strategic and technical expertise in data management and governance to EY clients. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their data governance and data management challenges, Understand the applicable data regulations and identify the gaps to comply with the regulatory requirements, Operational and business needs and developing a data governance framework.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct data assessments/ current state assessment and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement in data governance, data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their data management and governance needs and translate them into presentable reports.
• Establish data governance Operating model, structure to best fit for the entities based on the requirements and industry standards.
• Develop data governance frameworks and strategies that align with the client's business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement data management processes, including data governance, data quality, Metadata management, Master data management and storage.
• Develop and implement data governance and Management policies, standards, and procedures as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define data architecture and data flows that support efficient data management.
• Provide guidance and support in implementing data governance and management tools such as Data Catalog, Data Quality and Master data management (MDM) technologies.
• Perform initial data quality assessment, suggest for the improvements and defining data quality rules, implementation of data quality tools and data profiling.
• Support business development efforts by participating proposal and response development.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and engagement.

Must have skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in data management and data governance roles, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (eg: DAMA, NDMO, CMMI) data quality principles, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPL).
• Understanding of data management technologies and tools, such as Data Quality tools, MDM tools, and data catalog tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients and team members.
• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients.
• Willingness to travel to client sites, mostly MENA region, if needed.

Good To have:

• Experience in Informatica solutions such as AXON, EDC, DQ and MDM
• Experience in Collibra Data Governance and catalog
• Certification in Data Governance and Data Management recognized in the industry
