EY – Commercial Excellence – Reporting – Staff
As part of the Service Line Operations team, Staff role performs reporting tasks primarily related to utilisation & revenue projection which includes and not limited to relationship & variance analysis along with data visualisation. The role’s major responsibilities include preparing/ reviewing, analysing and reconciliations of management reports, dashboards. The role requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail for a highly regarded team that focuses on accuracy and timeliness. The role should have excellent knowledge of MS Excel and good knowledge of Power Point. The role also requires effective communication skills including communicating through email and over the telephone. The role aims to support the business and its leaders, especially Partners and Senior Management, through reporting and value- added analysis, data analysis and insight for strategy and futuristic business model implementation.
The opportunity
We’re looking for Staff with expertise in Utilisation reporting, project financials & compliance to join our Commercial Excellence Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in adding value to Service line business operations.
Your key responsibilities
- Actual vs plan weekly and Weekly/fortnightly/monthly utilisation analysis at SL/ office/region level
- Analyse month-to-go and year-to-go expectations regarding plan achievement - prepare the analysis research forecast, prepare and plan analytical information and communicate to SL/sectors/office and finance
- Provide commentaries on the reporting and play the trusted business advisor role to the leadership
- Prepare various reports related to sales and pipeline and present to the leadership team
- Prepare weekly and monthly presentations to the leadership team which will provide the overview/insight on actual vs plan results
- Provide the ideas, take initiatives and be proactive regarding the view/graphs/tables for presentation
- Work and communicate with SL/office/regions in order to collect commentary, explanations, and clarifications on analysing information
- Sound knowledge on monitoring of engagement/project finance and reviews
- Involve in ad-hoc projects
Skills and attributes for success
- Team player and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
- Ability to take part in difficult conversations under complex business situations
- Must have extremely strong MS Excel, Power Point, Power BI skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Utilisation and Management reporting
Ideally, you’ll also have
MBA in Finance
Experience in Resource & capacity operations along with Project management
