EY – CSS – Senior Manager – D&A
The Senior Manager – Data & Analytics will lead the organization’s data strategy, governance, and analytics initiatives. This role is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making, managing advanced analytics projects, and ensuring the effective use of data assets across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise in data platforms, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights.
Your key responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the data & analytics roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Champion data-driven culture across the organization.
- Data Management & Governance
- Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analytics & Insights
- Lead advanced analytics initiatives including predictive modeling, machine learning, and BI reporting.
- Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and data scientists.
- Foster continuous learning and innovation within the team.
- Technology & Tools
- Oversee implementation and optimization of data platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses, ETL tools).
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Stakeholder Management
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights for strategic decisions.
- Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and business-friendly manner.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Significant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related field, with a track record of managing a team.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with financial reporting software, databases, and MS Office, especially Excel.
- 10+ years in data & analytics roles, with at least 4 years in leadership positions.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale data projects and teams.
- Expertise in SQL, Python/R, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an understandable way.
- Strong project management skills and experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is an advantage.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- MBA in Finance
- Experience in Project management
