Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Senior Associate for the Resource Management Team who brings a strong blend of core resource management expertise and data/reporting capabilities. This role will be responsible for supporting workforce planning, project staffing, and resource utilization, while also driving data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting solutions that enable informed business decisions.

 

The ideal candidate should have experience in resource management operations along with strong technical skills in Advanced Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and DAX to improve visibility, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Resource Management – Core Skills

  • Support project staffing and resource allocation based on business requirements, skill availability, and capacity.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, project managers, and team leads to ensure timely and effective deployment of resources.
  • Monitor resource utilization, availability, and allocation to identify gaps, overlaps, or potential bottlenecks.
  • Assist in workforce planning, forecasting future resource needs, and supporting mitigation planning.
  • Resolve allocation conflicts by collaborating with relevant stakeholders and recommending practical staffing solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within resource management workflows.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members on resource planning and allocation activities.

 

Reporting / Analytics – Technical Skills

  • Perform advanced data analysis using Excel, including reporting, pivot tables, lookup formulas, dashboards, and complex functions.
  • Understand, structure, and analyse business/data queries to convert them into actionable reporting insights.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support business and leadership decision-making.
  • Use DAX to create measures, calculations, and data models for dynamic and meaningful reporting outputs.
  • Apply Power Query for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and automation of recurring reporting processes.
  • Design reporting solutions that provide visibility into resource utilization, demand, capacity, and performance metrics.
  • Support continuous enhancement of MIS/reporting frameworks through automation and better data visualization.

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, MIS, Reporting, or Business Analytics.
  • Good understanding of resource allocation, utilization tracking, capacity planning, and staffing coordination.
  • Strong expertise in Advanced Excel, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, dashboards, and complex formulas.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboard creation and reporting.
  • Good understanding of DAX for measures, calculations, and data modelling.
  • Strong working knowledge of Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, and automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into reporting outputs.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

 

 

Preferred Profile

 

  • Experience in Resource Management / Workforce Planning / MIS / Analytics.
  • Strong expertise in Advanced Excel.
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
